I have been all over Fl covering Drifting events. So here is the last one i just did. Moroso Drift. Oh and this is just 50 shots out of 1700 that I am running thru. So this thread will be updated.

they're nice shots.. but seem a lil soft.. maybe try a lil faster shutter to sharpen them up but not lose the motion of the shot?..

I agree..very soft. Bump it up to around 1/200th and make sure you pan completely...continue following the car after you press the shutter button. that may clear up some more of the photos.

i duno man.. no offense but i use photobucket for all my shots and never seen it kill sharpness and clarity that bad..

if anything.. post a pic and then attach the original image.. to see if there is a significant reduction in quality..

Are you resizing via photoshop or photobucket.

resize using PS, and it wont degrade quality.

switch to IS mode 2 (for panning) - that's why they're looking soft, exposure seems a little dark too.

All I am doing to the images is cropping them in PS, then saving them as the highest #. THen hosting them in photobucket. Photobucket Setting 700x800

Ill see about attaching and see what happens.

hmm....try going to image --> image size --> and then set your image sizes to the right size...

and the apply the USM filter and see how those come out

Your panning shots are lacking a little sharpness, but that's totally not your fault. The XTi's focusing isn't as fast as say the 40D, 5D, or 1D. If you start taking your photography professionally, upgrade! :)

ive had no real troubles with photobucket degrading photo quality too much
