: A few HDR car shots...
MinGrey02Stg2 09-10-2007, 09:47 PM I didn't shoot these but rather saw them on another forum I'm on. HDR with cars usually doesn't look very good at all IMO but these turned out amazing I think. Check em out:

Ahh.... I need to get CS2 already, I hate how CS1 doesnt do HDR nor does it handle RAW images
I'm not partial to the car HDR shots personally, I prefer the landscape/nature shots and also using it with people pictures.
Ahnoldzz 09-10-2007, 11:14 PM That guy Arin does some incredible work. I've seen more of his work from Philly at nighttime. He finds the best spots to photograph.
ABrownPhoto 09-11-2007, 01:59 AM Some really great shots! I like the technique!

i tried making mine, but didnt turn out so well =[
i tried two ways of making my HDRS:
1- taking different exposures then using photomatix
2- took one shot and changed the exposure in photoshop.
when i tried doing #2, it just made it really dark. any tips of how to make HDRs like yalls?

The guy said he used 3 exposures, converted to .tiff files, then merged & tone mapped with Photomatix.
White_02 09-11-2007, 02:49 PM Damn, although the yellows seem to be a bit overexposed in some areas, the image as a whole is excellent
dc5tunerx 09-12-2007, 10:02 AM nice cobra
rick1024 09-12-2007, 10:05 AM so if i get cs2 i can just use that? is it a filter on there or something? can some one point a newb to a d.i.y.
loading... 09-12-2007, 12:44 PM i think they would look better without the HDR personally.
LoboRsxS 09-12-2007, 07:52 PM http://tutorialblog.org/hdr-tutorials-roundup/ i read this and there are to many photo vocabulary that i dunno... like EV-exposure value, aperture, and shutter speed.. someone help :*(

Actually none of the photos appearing on my site in the galleries are from Philly. They are mainly from around Harrisburg, PA. I haven't ventured out much in Philly to shoot. It's a bit 'harder' than crime free Harrisburg, and I no longer have a wingman to watch my back when I'm shooting.
Also someone asked what camera and how many exposures... It's a canon 20D and over 10 exposures for each.
BTW, here is another HDR of my car. Enjoy:

dc5ivtec 09-13-2007, 01:36 PM I hate what HDR photography does to a cars reflections, however, the forest and the rest of the bg comes to life with HDR. I'd like to see that last shot of the GTI with a single exposure car pic c/p onto the HDR bg. I think that would look great.
bunimoo 09-13-2007, 02:10 PM very nice mingrey +rep
MITeggy17 09-13-2007, 06:33 PM Damn those shots are sick.
