Buddy of mine took a pic of my car for me during a little photoshoot we had the other day. It just seems underexposed to me. If anyone has a little free time on their hands and wants to fool around with the pics, I'd appreciate. I have absolutely no PS skills

My ride, 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V:

My old FD that I sold to buy the chaser:

My friends GC8 WRX:

agreed, its not underexposed, i think it could just use some editing to the source file, your not gonna get results pasting a resized 8bit image on here...

and what made you trade the FD??
Paying $4.47 a gallon for gas. Plus rotarys are not known for their great gas mileage.
Spending over 120/week for gas just commuting back and forth to work, not worth it

how did you learn your shit man

Trial and error, I am mostly self taught. I have learned from some online tutorials (radiantvista.com is a great site)...but mostly I just did a chop, saw what some of the other guys posted, and asked how they did various things if I couldn't immatate a certain effect. Then I combined different effects I liked, if it came out like shit I tried a different combo. And built off that.

Also, there have been a few peeps on here that have shared how they created various effects...nick for example gave me some big help on sky replacement...but i think anyone will tell you, hit up some tutorials, they'll show you things you can do in PS that I would have never known about otherwise, and just keep practicing. Don't be afraid to try a chop and then ask for feedback. Most of the photog peeps are pretty cool.

bingo, just play, alot of tutorials online help greatly. At least for the technique and idea on how to do something, then you just remember that method and apply it for something specific for what you are trying to do. YOu learn by doing, and listing to others and looking at others work

very nice attention to detail...nice work cloning out the rope on the stripey barrier (2nd from the left) and the fact you added in a lighter area in between the 2nd and 3rd barrier to carry forward the sun reflection off the water.... i'm really digging the overall subdued tone also...

Haha FO-REALZ huh?? Work has been kickin my butt these days! Workin full time at Ritz Camera, and doing photoshoots after work, then having to edit the shots takes up my whole day. Top it off with my wonderful GF and EATING/SLEEPING.... just don't have time to go online or watch TV. Although I do watch Family Guy while editing my shots :)
