Hey dudes! I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinionated opinions on which color you think would go best with my car. And if time permits, give me your reason.

The Rims -

I'm rally leaning towards the 'mat black', with red lug nuts, but let me know what you guys think.

Thanks in advance

XD9 is sitll a possiblity... I'm looking around, can't decide. I'm kinda feeling like I need less spokes, and I like the feel of the 5Zigens. The price on them is really good too, and considering I need a dyno tune as well, these could work for me. Anyway, I'm still waiting on some price quotes for the XD9's, but I came upon these and I really like them

;16906584']yeah.... a little tough to achieve on an RSX though....

thats cause 90% of the people on CRSX don't run enough camber for aggressive offsets.. on top of that, your car has wide body doesn't it? Atleast the last time i saw it, it had lol..

anyways, if i can fit a 17x8 with a 5mm spacer, i'm sure you have no problem with a 17x8.5 with a 33 offset or something liek that.. not sure what 5Zigen offers.. I'm only running -2.7 camber up front... I say "only" cause i want to acheive atleast 3 degrees.. FF cars can't turn for shit without camber..

SAi on the boards run a 17x8 50 offset, and he runs a 15mm spacer, and a 25mm spacer on top of that.. thats 40mm out of hte hub!

SO SICK! Concave for ftw!

he uses that total 40mm spacer setup even for track? isnt it dangerous?

jcnacbar
01-24-2008, 01:37 PM
^ he probably has extended bolts, still his bearings will hate him :)

There are benefits to increasing the track (cons too), but theres little point in making a skinny rim stick way out, the smart thing to do is fit a wide rim tightly, inside and outside. I thought Sai was running 9"?

that crazy insane! i manage to barley shove in 18x8 with a +35 offset, then again i havent rolled my fenders nore have i neg out the camber

^ your outside clearance is tight, but i bet you have more room to go inside, especially with coilovers they give you more inside clearance, you could fit at least another half inch :)

yeah he's running 9.5" with 275 tires!

yoyo could for sure run that, maybe even a 10" with his wide fenders... that would be sick imagine the grip!!

i love the rims u have on ur car right now, are u sellin those?

[YOYO]
01-24-2008, 02:00 PM
My rims? I will be selling them when I get the new ones.

Thing about my fender flares is that they just overlap the original fenders. I'd have to megaroll the fenders underneath in order to actually fit wide rims.... Crap! I need a re-tune and I need new tires :rotfl:

jcnacbar

Your supposed to cut the original fenders when you install flares, you might as well dude they are on there for good, or like you said just mega roll/pull them so you have clearance

Yah that is sick. I can only imagine my tire wear though :rotfl:

jcnacbar
01-24-2008, 02:02 PM
the wear wouldn't be abnormal, but the cost of tires would! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Yup, I agree about the cost.... jeez. Those links that I posted above there. Those two RSX's run 17x8 +43. They look good for the most part IMO, for that offset anyway. I was thinking of thetting 18s, but those only go in 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5 as far as I can remember. hmmm, 17s or 18s?!?! Rolling my fenders might be pretty costly now... I think that I'd ahve to tear off the flares, roll the fenders to get it done properly, and put the flares back on, repaint .... $$$$$$ Damn I'll never decide on anything. Big offset, small offset, wide, not so wide :rotfl: I need more money and more time. I need tune for my new RBC and injectors :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

jcnacbar

You can probably cut/push the inside fenders without removing the flares or harming the paint.

;16907413']Damn I'll never decide on anything. Big offset, small offset, wide, not so wide

Easy, go as wide as possible then select the offset that places the outside edge as flush as possible with your fenders. Any of the widths/offsets in that thread I posted should work for you, it doesn't have to be perfect, my rims certainly aren't.

01-24-2008, 03:21 PM
hmmmmm... alright, so say I roll my fenders.... you think I can run 17x8 +35 front, and 17x9 +35 rear? Maybe that rear would require more than a roll? Bah, I'll just read the thread :) BTW, thanks for all the massive thanks everyone. You guys kick ass
