I've been shopping around for awhile and just got curious about the S2000.

How much do you guys pay for monthly mortgage?

How much do you guys pay for monthly insurance?

How old are you?

I don't own a house but I pay $1300 in rent, car payment is $400/mo and my insurance with renters insurance is $140/mo... I make 65k and I'm 28. Do you want to know my sign too?

If you're looking for some rules of thumb, these are some that I've picked up over time, and think they're pretty good guidelines:
- Your car should cost less than 1/3 your annual salary (monthly payment 5-7%).
- Your home should be less than 3 times your annual salary... which means your mortgage payment should be less than 28% of your income.
- You should be banking 5% of your salary (at minimum).
- You should be investing in 6% for retirement (401k, IRA, mutual funds, etc.)

This brings you to about 75% of your income accounted for (assuming 30% state/federal income tax). Your remaining 25% goes to utilities, necessities, and entertainment.

Of course, you can exceed these, but then your standard of living drops in other areas for your particular salary.
