I've been quoted pretty high well a bit similar to my rsx. I have 1 point on my license. No accidents nothing major. I don't race and I'm not into racing nor driving crazy haha. I been driving since I was 16 now 19 will turn 20 in couple months. I'm thinking of getting a ap1 s2k and just curious how much you guys pay for your insurance. I will be purchasing an AP1 soon and I been looking around for some cheap insurance. So again how much do you guys pay? How old are you? What insurance company do you have? Thank you

Less than what my RSX was.. $180/month, which is still kinda steep but I'm a college student and I completely paid off the car.

it's around $140/mo but that also includes renter's insurance... so probably around $125/mo. I remember it was about $70/mo less than my Type S. 28 y/o with 1 pt.

I'm 36 with no record and married and this damn place is charging me $1400/yr and that was supposedly with a hookup. Another place I went to wanted to charge me $2200/yr.

Seeing some of these numbers boggles my mind. Want to go back to Japan where I was only paying like $250/yr for insurance. :(

24. no ticket or accident.

Mine got lowered on the most recent statement.
$1300 to 1000 per year.

Pay about $85 per month,
That's with good student discount, whole 4 family cars are insured on 1 same account, bit more discount there.

depending on the year, the s2k would cost just as much as an rsx-s. Of course, the older the s2k compared to the rsx-s, the cheaper the s2k would be - might even save you 100 or so dollars annually

My insurance is only $60 a month...the S2K was the same as the Acura TSX I traded in for it.

EDIT: Just got my new coverage and the premium is only $255 over 6 months. Not too bad! (30 years old, no issues with license, one ticket back in 2003).

IT All depends on the company and the person applying for coverage. Its not one thing where you can expect to pay the same as another person. Youre in Cali, so thats gunna be diff than here in texas and you could be younger and i older, its just diff. I get customers all the time who ask me stuff like that and i just hate to rain on their parade with them thinking theyll get cheaper rates with us like their friends were getting. blah blah blah.

so i asume the majority of peeps here are youngish so still might be on their parents policies and not on heir own doing their own thing. If with parents hell yes itll be cheaper as you use their rates and their credit and their driving record and multi car discounts home car discounts good driver discounts etc. If on your own itd hella expensive. If youre young and doing that wait till you get closer to 21-25 to split off on your own. There should be better rates for someone around that age that hits 21 or within that. after 25 youll generally see the lower rates.

make sure you mention about your grades if in hs or in college because that all makes a difference. drivers ed counts as well as defensive driving classes. more than one car helps even if within same household. home car discounts or if you get renters insurance for your apartment for your stuff there you could get discounts on both policies for renters and auto.

just all depends on the situation and company and how youre going to go about getting your stuff done. for my 02 type s i pay 88 a month. im 27 married 3 cars defensive driving ive got 100 comp and 500 coll deductibles and 50-100-50 for my liability limits and i have pip at 5k and i have uninsured motorist at 50/100/25 and i have rental car at 40/day 1100/max and towing at 100 miles included with my policy and accident and minor violation forgiveness. I have Nationwide Insurance and Im an agent as well.
