I was wondering if I can still use the K20 oil filters when changing oil for the S2000, I got like 10 of them for Christmas (I still got the old car) and I dont want to waste it leave it there collecting dust for years to come
and also, how much oil does the S2000 holds?

well you see, people who sell their rsx uses "been using s2k oil filters on my car every 3k miles" like it was a big upgrade or something, just wanted to confirm.

im pretty sure u can use an rsx filter cause all honda's have the same size stud(except the nsx i think). the only thing is that the s2k filter is bigger than the rsx. i use to work at an oil change place and im pretty sure u can

Yea, I would just use the correct filter for the car. I would think it's slightly bigger for a reason.

I would'nt I used to work at Honda for a couple of years. Its different for a reason the rsx uses 5w30 and the s2k uses 10w30. S2k takes 6 quarts I think check the owners manual. Two different motors unless the filter would be the same. You probably could use the same filter every 3k but the motor craps out and you have that filter the dealer could be suspicious about that when the warranty comes to play

I heard the s takes 5.1-5.5 quarts. Something to keep in mind when shopping for oil.

rsx type takes 4.7 and s2k takes 6, figure it out for yourself it you want. a) check the owners manual b) start with 5 and add half quart or so til you reach the top or mid level line which ever. I put 5 in my type s saving .3 of a quart is useless

im using a Hamp Oil Filter and the filter is small on the s2k. Never had any problems.

and the s2k takes 5.1 qts, but i just buy the 5qt jug and works for me.
so i cant see why using the rsx oil filter wont work. plus i use the same hamp oil filter on the rsx as well.

anyone here use the mobil1 filter? its alot smaller than oem, but i guess i trust them
