I tried searching but didnt find anything quick question i was wondering if this is at all makes sense so here it is someone took a ap1 body and swapped in a ap2 engine, trannsmission and differential. So it would have torque of an AP2 with the redline of an AP1 due to the fact the original ECU was still being used. Is this at all possible would you not be over revving the engine every time you red lined the car. Thanks ahead of time for responses.

You would be safe revving the F22 to about 8500 rpms. Anything above that would put way too much strain on the engine. There are quite a few S owners who have done that and run the 00-01 ECU (over the 02-03 ECU as it would run leaner). You'd still be better of running an AP2 ECU on the F22 since it has better/more complimentary curves.

Thanks for the response much appreciated . Was looking into purchasing a car that someone did this swap on originally and the person bought the car from him and is selling it now but it still scares me because i have no clue if he revved the shit out of the motor and what not. Probably just gonna stay away from it.

:face: or you just put an ap1 ecu in an ap2 and have it "rekeyed" (so your key still works to crank the car). The best option is to just have hondata reflash the ap2 ecu so you get the maps right.
