Since my S2K is boosted w/ 400+whp, I have some serious traction problems @ WOT in 1st-3rd gear I picked another set of wheels for track use. Saw these Work Emotion CR-Kai for sale in 18x8.5 +37, 18x9.5 +38 and also picked up some 235/40/18 & 265/35/18 Pirelli Tires.

I'm lowered on coilovers about 1.5 finger gap all the way around I was rubbing in the back on my Blitz Technospeed Z1 18X8 +45 245/40/18 setup when I hit big dips. I already have all 4 fenders rolled also. Camber is set at -2 in the rear for now.

I'm not too fond of the Work Emotion white wheels but before I spend more $$$ to get them powdercoated matte black and add some vinyl red lines on the outer lip to make them time attack style to match my black and red interior I wanted to make sure these would fit w/out rubbing after I did some rear fender mods.

So Friday after my day of work I started to work on the rear fenders. I ended up relocating the bumper tab back a few inches and cut up the rear bumper w/ a utility knife to make more room. I also took a rubber mallet and bent most of the metal trim back and fender trim up as you can see in the pictures. Then I finished up and touched up w/ some black spray paint to cover up any metal showing to prevent rust.

It took me a few hours because my cordless drill ran out of battery in the middle of doing this. I had to recharge the battery and then come back to finish things up. As you can see in the pictures it was day time when i started and night time when i finished up! LOL! While the battery was charging I decided to also clean up the front hub and get rid of the rust and spray paint it black. I didn't bother to do the rotors because I have a Rotora Super Challange BBK on order and should be in and installed by end of the week hopefully.

I took pics and documented what I did. After putting the bigger wheel & tires on and going for a test drive....THERE IS NO MORE RUBBING & FIXED MY TRACTION ISSUE......FOR NOW!!

I plan on lowering the car a bit more and run a more negative camber. But that's another day of work!

maybe you should buy wheels that actually fit the car next time, forgive my bluntness...but that just looks like T-total shit. iow, your offset is retarded.

you need AT LEAST +45 (and no wider that 9.0", 255 rear), but +54, +60 (f/r) is optimal.

If you want some proper fitting "track" wheels that aren't going to break the bank, here ya go: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Enkei+Racing&wheelModel=PF01&wheelFinish=Black+Painted

17x9 +60 all the way around, using 255/40 tires.

For the die-hard track guy with as much power as you're putting down, you might want to think about these:
http://949racing.com/17x9-6ULR-Charcoal.aspx
http://949racing.com/17x10-6ULR-Charcoal.aspx

Common setup:

17x9 +63 - 255/40/17 F
17x10 +70 - 275/40/17R

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s would be a great choice for those sizes as well.

Are you sure you're lowered 1.5 inches, or even at all? For some reason your car looks like it's at stock height. Also, you might wanna consider getting some fender work done if you want to run those wheels safely, and also to get rid of that mexipoke you got goin on.

@RedCelica
I think your "common setup"(which I don't think is common at all) is referring to the 6ulrs right? Imo those look like complete garbage. You don't have to completely sacrifice looks for performance. Anything with offsets +40 or higher is trackable without extensive fender work. Just a good roll, maybe slight pull on the front, relocated bumper tab and some good, functional amounts of camber and you'll be set.

Even if that is functional, it looks dumb shit.

I agree, I'm not a fan of white wheels plus the setup is not finished yet. I purchased this set of wheels so I can get my other 18" Blitz Rims Refinished since my stock wheels will not clear my Rotora BBK.

I still have to powdercoat wheels gloss black and drop the car more and re-align the car and adjust to -2.6 camber.

The S is not my daily driver.

I never said I was lowered 1.5 inches. You should read more carefully.
