So I want to do a rear wiper delete, but I cant seem to find a good plug anywheres, and I dont really want to get one off of ebay. If anyone knows where I can pick a good one up at please share the info, thanks.
get a hole plug from home depot you its like 50 cents just buy like the 3 biggest sizes and see which ones fit. thats what i did. all i did was spray paint it black and it worked good had it almost for a year now and i havent had a leak yet
So I called honda and I was like do you have rear wiper plugs and the guy was like wtf is that and I explained what I was trying to do to the guy and he still had no idea what I was talking about.:face:
looking around the garage I found an unused sink stopper. The body is made of plastic with a stainless cap on it. I cut the cap off with a hack saw, roughed up the stainless with some 400 grit and painted it flat black. Then put a bead of silicone under the outside edge and applied it. Very easy, it looks stock, very low profile, and has been on it for almost two years with no leaks.
Mission accomplished gents. I got a sink stopper from lowes, cut the tip off, used sand paper to smooth it out and spray painted it black, then I used some silcone to seel it all up, it looks really good and it all cost me about 3 bucks total and about 45 min including time for the paint to dry and removal of the wiper. Thanks for all the tips guys.
Alright so I haven't quit figured out how to post big ass pics on crsx yet (I know I'm a noob to social websites) but here are the links to my pics, I smudged the paint on the plug while putting it in the whole so I spent an hour or so repainting it, ON THE CAR, lol check them out, not a bad rear wiper delete for only around 3 bucks.
Looks good man, might have to visit Lowes soon. :shady:
