just installed shifter bushings and the 5 spd BCSS on my type-s and it works just fine shifter now feels like an s2k's if not better the knob is also lower than i expected which is a good thing

does the bcss give you a more solid feel when the shirfter hits the "wall". im talking about the feeling of an sk2 shifter. the "wall" feels more solid.

yeah, the "wall" is as solid as s2k, and its pretty much impossible to miss a gear now since all the play is gone. shifting is very solid and precise

its a must buy for 99$

Also, I am using the MonsterKnobs.com Shift Knob. Soooo love this thing. I don't care for the 'stick' knobs, useds an aluminum ARC knockoff before this, loved the shape, though bit smaller, but hated the thing when it got hot or cold. Never have to worry bout burning my hand when i get in the hot car.



It does already drop the shifter down some, so I'm curious how low its going to really go.

i have the bcss w/shifter bushings and the brass shifter linkage bushing w/ a skunk2 knob...

for anyone interested in the skunk2 knob, during the winter it gets really cold and during the summer it gets really hot. sometimes in the summer i can barely shift due to the knob being too hot to touch.

i would recomend the s2000 knob over the skunk2

also the bcss w/bushings and sk2 knob feels very crisp and it does lower the shifter.

the only problem i've had with the bcss, is when i downshifted hard from 4th to 2nd getting off the freeway to have some fun. The cotter pin snapped and i couldnt shift. and it was at night and i had no tools of flashlight on me so i had to get my car towed home.

the next day i looked at the shifter and it was bent where you adjust the degree of how much you want the shifts to be shorter

so now i'm thinking of just getting a comptech ss or trying to bend that part straight again but i'm worried that bending it might weaken the metal

i don't know about you guys but after i installed my comptech ss i started to have 3rd gear grind.....every once in a while..

Damn this kinda suck ! Any other ppls had that kind of problem with bcss ? I'm planning getting one and was wondering if it could bring more problem than fun ! Thanks !
