Question need work

i jsut got back from the track. needless to say im disappointed.

my mods arent the best, i know im heat soaking bad, i just got a fresh oil change

mods are aem SRI (heatsoaking bitch), dcsports shorty header, megan racing exhaust pipe, 2.5" pipe to obx wrap around exhaust, innovative mounts and bc n+ coils set to stiff. and 19psi in both front tires on 18'' - 18 pound rims

trying to find out where and how to launch is my problem, im hurting here with this stage.

first run launched between 3-3500rpm and bogged out and killed a 15.8 time.

2nd run 25 psi (best run probably if i didnt miss 2nd.)
5400rpm launch spun a bit
2.271 60' (missed 2nd)
15.356 1/4
90.92mph

3rd run 19 psi
5000rpm launch
2.319 60'
15.119 1/4
91.05mph

4th run 19 psi
4800rpm launch
2.389 60'
15.169 1/4
92.93mph

probably not going to run again til i get a cai, rh, and exhaust system with kpro.
i should be doing better than this, i just cant figure out what im doing wrong. i cant break 15.1 for anything...

Damn, maybe my shifting is off, i gotta be shifting outside the sweet spot, im shifting as close to 8000 as possible. I just need to thnk what i need to work on, shifing points and the launch are on the list.

Well first dont shift @ 8k shift @ your rev limiter as close as possible. After you run turn on max heat if our going to stage again.

I ran 14.2 with i/rh/e with a 2.2 60'. 25Psi in my tires i launched off two-step dropped teh clutch feathered the accelerator. I shited as close to 8400 as possible.

thought shifting at rev limiter wasnt good. isnt 7800 or 7900 our max torque spot making the shift there equaling the sweet spot. and my car wont go higher than 8200. was a warm night, doubt that has much to do with it.

my friend in a s2000 hit a 13.8 and i did a 2nd gear roll with him, i took him in the beginning and he hardly pulled on me by the end of 4th he was about half a car length ahead of me.

my problem probably is feathering the accelerator. i get so rushed, i just keep it to the floor...ill work on it. i just dont understand how our 60ft is around the same but im so much slower than you....

when shifting, you let go of the accelerator?
