There was a point not too long ago where I decided to make the rsx into a strictly autocross/trackday car after I bought a house and had money saved up again.

However, with the SCCA rule changes and me realizing how difficult our suspension design is to work with and how it sets every rsx/ep3 a step down from any equivalent car in terms of autocross and trackdays, I've now decided to either turn the RSX into an all year car or supercharge it. Which would mean I'll build something else for the track, something old and simple to work on, maybe a BMW or Miata don't know yet but something RWD.

Any good reason why I should build up the RSX for trackdays other than I'm familiar with it and quite comfortable driving it at any speed.

And btw nice pics on the page bet the tl is fun hah.

I was VERY surprised of how well the TL-S did. I was expecting a shit ton of squeeling tires, and a ton of pushing through turns... What I got was exactly opposite of that. The turning was amazing, the car felt extremely stable for being a 3600 pound car without me in it.

I'll run the rsx this year in stf and go for a top 5 PAX, but I won't stick with it after this year just for the reasons you listed. I will sell and go for either an S2000 or Miata. Of the choices you list, I would dd it and spend $ on your new BMW or Miata.

I thought I was comfortable driving the DC5... til I got into another car. I got into a RWD, an S2000 would be nice but my driving is not up to par. So I got the next bes thing, a Miata. An E30 would be comparable, I don't know the cost of that chassis.

Anyone know of a black DC5 with the Buddy Club wide body kit? I have some on-track footage at Buttonwillow. My 100hp's couldn't keep up though.

EDIT: This one:

That's my car behind it =)

Looks like you were moving out there.

I too was pleasantly surprised when I took a TL around a short course. it was a newer AWD one tho

^^ yea i saw a youtube video on the car a while ago when they finished it but its nothing impressive. and the bc widebody is well.. not worth the $$.

when you sum everything up it is all pretty easily attainable. I wouldnt say its exotic, or anything. guy wants to be different sure. I dont still wouldnt consider it a great "track car"
