Talking My DIY Grill

well, i finally decided to put a grill in after reading about people's ac condenser getting messed up from flying debris. It was pretty cheap too. i was looking all around lowes for gutter guard, but i couldn't find any. i just happened to go down the lumber isle when i saw this mesh stuff, exactly the same stuff as gutter guard but folded in half. i guess it is supposed to be used for concrete reinforcement because all the sticker that was on it said was concrete. it only cost 90 cents for a 4'x5" piece. when i got home i just straitened it out. it was pretty easy to remove my front bumper. after i test fitted the grill, i sprayed it with primer. while i was waiting for that to dry, i used epoxy to attach zip-tie mounts to the bumper. next, i painted the grill with several coats of satin black paint. when that was dry, i just zip-tied it on and reattached the bumper. you can't really see the grill, but that's not what i was going for. i just wanted to protect the condenser.

nothing special here, just pics of the install and some others when i got trigger happy while waiting for the paint to dry...

Do you have any pictures that show how the bottom of the grill is held on? I can see the zip tie mounts on the top but I can't see how the bottom of the grill is supposed to be tied down.

Just curious...

Why do you have a digital compass mounted on your windshield. Aside from the obvious, is there any other reason you use it?

i get lost pretty easily. the compass is pretty handy when you're reading a map.

Hey, how is the front bumper held in? Just by those clips on the top, or do i have to concern myself with other fastening points.
