This seems to be my next car as it has almost everything i need.....300hp twin turbo RWD with aftermarket support and since it's going to be cheaper than a 335i that would be a plus..
so i'm just wondering if anyone else is watiing on this thing besides me.
BTW, a quick set of calculations hint that with a 3.5 final drive ratio the 135i (with a stock 300 HP N54B30) should be under 4.8 seconds 0 - 60mph. With a Stage 1 PROcede and the same final drive ratio that 0 - 60 time may come close to 4.1 or so. If the final drive ratio is over 3.5 (say a nice 3.73) then the 0 - 60 number goes down. Those calculations assume an 'offical' weight of 3300 lbs.
I would not be surprised if, eventually, someone with a PROcede equipped 135i turns a sub-4 second 0 - 60 time.
Should a Vishnu tuned 135i be called a 135iv? ; -)
Thats kind of impossible since all 3 series with the Premium Package come with leather. And chances are if it had a Premium Pack, it also had the cold weather pack which also has a folding rear seat.
The interior looks really boring. I like the rest though, especially since I was trying to figure out how I could afford a 335. Guess I dont have to worry about that anymore.
When I was in UK last yr, my cousin has the BMW 130 I think. It was a 2 door hatchback. I am not a big guy and i was feeling crushed in there. Way too damn small for the American Market.
the bmw interior were never really impressive....just look at all the mid/top model that is out right now in the market, the interior is pretty much still the same
but i'm definitely lookin into this as well, it's either this or the is350 after the rsx
I'm in Germany and I see 1 series all the time. But they're hatches over here. I wish we'd get a 3 door hatch in the states. I'd buy one. These arn't BAD... but the hatch has more character...IMO
I didn't vote, because this WONT be my next car, but I'm more of a BMW fan than Acura/Honda... so I'm not saying Fuck BMW
This will add quite a few to the 135 bandwagen im sure. For the price of k-pro the n54 will gain 75hp and 114lbs.

Aux. boost control solenoid

0-60mph in 4.5 seconds (est.)
Standing ¼ mile in 12.8 seconds (est.)

Not to mention the exhaust will most definatly be restrictive as hell, the 335's is. There are gains of 25whp with just a downpipe on 335's. Basically a few thousand onto the n54 engine + 135 chassis and u've got urself a 400whp e92 m3 killer.
Estimated Installation Time:
15-20 mins
Price:
$1300 Vishnu Tuning Computer
Not to mention 335's gain around 25whp from just a downpipe, and the 135 exhaust will be just as if not more restrictive then the 335. Basically Vishnu + turboback and the little thing will be 350-400whp, and u'll have urself a e92 m3 killer.
