junkyard turbo kit = junkyard results

save the cheap fixes for your beater civic; don't ruin a $20,000 car with a cheap setup. They aren't that expensive to begin with. Do it the right way once. If you can afford the car, you can afford to save up for a while to get what you want. If you cannot, then you cannot afford the safety margin you would want to have if you were to go f/i anyway...

Get a used Greddy kit, seen them go for 2000-2500............everything you need to boost a safe moderate level with oppurtunities to upgrade later.

no 7psi is safe and u will not need low compression pistons or stronger rods. our motors r built well and can stand up to 18psi without changing any internals but all motors r different and im not telling u to turn ur boost up to 18psi. but up to 10psi is safe daily!!

7-10 lbs of boost will give you a 30 percent increase in power

where are you getting this from? there are many variables and although the above may be true with some cars, it is not with the rsx...at 10 lbs, people are putting down well over 300 whp...stock is roughly 160-170whp...that is close to a 100% increase in power

also, the s2000 puts down around 200whp while a turbo s2000 on 10 lbs. of boost has seen 400whp

Avoid the Stage 2 kit, and spend the money on a kit of better quality, such as the offerings from Full-Race. Even if you keep your motor stock, if the Full-Race setup, you may end up making more, "safer" reliable power, than the CN stage 2.

normal atmospheric pressure is roughly 14 psi depending on a few variables....put 7 lbs of boost on a stock engine and it will theoretically produce a 50 percent increase in power...obviously no system is 100 percent efficient...so without any upgrading at all...keeping stock injectors, stock intake and exhaust system, you'll gain around 30 percent....but you never see a turbo motor with stock intake and exhaust systems....so you're going to see more of an increase with 7 psi then 30 percent....and 10 psi will make A LOT more power then 30 percent.....

I'd go with the 60-1, a lot of people have that setup instead of the t3/t4 it comes with

The Great Cornholio is an unknown quantity on c-rsx
I just had the Greddy Turbo with an Extreme Motorsports Custom intercoller, Turbosmart BOV, Custom 3" piping into a Thermal 3" Turbo Exhaust installed on my car. So a few questions. After my turbo was installed, I noticed a low idle for the first few mins after startup. This eventually went away. Secondly, I dont know too much about forced induction but when I hit the gas, My RPMs dont go up as fast as they did without the turbo, is this normal? Third how much HP does 7lbs of boost get you? Should there be any measures I should take for protecting my engine? I dont have forged or low compression pistons but Im only running 7lbs. I wanna run it hard against an Evo or a Stang but Im afraid I might screw something up. Somebody help

HKS is not worth the money. It is pretty much the worst "bang for your buck" kit out there. Sure they make quality products, but the gains shown to date are far from impressive.

If I'm not mistaken, PSI is a bigger safety factor than HP. But as long as you stay below 12 lbs of boost on a stock block, you should be okay. Don't go CN though. Their quality is crap. Just piece a kit together like I am doing.

I was talking to Full Race the other day and they told me i would need to upgrade my axles if i plan to go with their stage 1 prostreet which packs about 450 hp...would this be true and with that much horsepower would my car be a daily driver?
