yeah thanks for the theoretic figures, but if you just head on over to the dyno threads in FI section, your theories go out the window.

Need More Power

Hows it going fellow Acura owners. I am looking to add more power to my RSX and want to go the turbo route but I have certain needs. If anyone could tell me what turbo would match up I would appreciate the input.
First and most important is that I would like to be able to pass all emissions test(I live in New Jersey). Then I want something that it daily driveable and very realiable. Also if the system was an easy install that would be nice too.
I hope you guys can help me out

Only extra thing you need to do for an 05-06 is get an engine management system, since no companies really support the 05-06 ECU's right now. The easiest way would be to get an ECU off of an 02-04 and swap it in, then add KPro.

Notice that he said he has an auto. You can not Kpro the automaic yet, there has been one member with a 02-04 base auto that had a custom installed Kpro on his base auto by running 2 ecus (the base auto ecu to control the tranny and another base 5-speed ecu to control the functions of the motor).
The only option that I know of is that POS guardian from cybernation which is complete garbage. I would suggest that if you want more power to just upgrade to a type-s or learn to live with bolt-ons on your car. Just my .02

^this is true. Hondata is still taking their sweet time in making the harness available for the 02-04 automatics.

i am just getting started on making the 05/06 harnesses. the pinouts are totally different compared to the 02-04's.

Totally Impressed

As a new RSX-S owner i am very pleased to read your write up and replies about the various FI kits. I want to build mine to about 500hp with or w/o the happy gas. My only question is if this is achievable without having to change the engine internals? I wanted to keep it "legal" but i guess that is just gonna have to go out the window. Also i was wondering, say i was going on a long roadtrip and wanted to save on gas, if i got a boost controller and had no boost would it help or would it cause a concern for the setup?

For 500 daily driven whp, build your engine. You can get away with 350-400 whp on stock internals... but 500 is pushing it. Why the fuck do you want that much power in a FWD car?
