RSX-S welcome to G-Stock
You lucky bastards.
http://www.scca.org/news/tech/fastra...2-fastrack.pdf My GTS and I are stuck in DS (because the SCCA thinks we are too fast). Time to start car shopping or car whoring. Good luck fellas! Scott |

I dont really care because I have never run in stock. But it does seem a bit unfair.

Hmm, the GTS is significantly lighter than the RSX-S so therefore is more than likely a better auto-xer....shit the base rsx is a much better auto-xer IMO than the type S. Pretty much every event I've been to the bases / EP si's take the type S's out. Road course racing is another story though.....

i think its going to be course dependant. the rsx is 350 lbs heavier then the celica gt, which is huge. it also has 60 more hp, which is huge. tight technical courses the celica has a strong advantage. wider open courses (national level courses) the rsx might be able to turn the tables.
i dont think the base rsx has a chance against the S. its not that much lighter, and im betting the events you have been the cars arent prepared to the limits of GS/DS or have equal drivers. hell the S is not supposed to beat WRX's or Type R's in DS either but i have beat plenty in the RSX-S. nobody has really prepared an RSX for stock class yet (except HART), we really dont know what they can do. |

Interesting.
Do you think I should remove my swaybar, get some R tires and run in GS next season, or spend the big bucks and really prep my car for STS? All I have currently is below (very little). P.S. I like the swaybar

The S has a lil' better suspension than my car stock though, so you never know...you might be able to get away with it. All I'm sayin is that the EP seems to be doing pretty well in STS

Depends if you are planing to Run nationally or not.....
Locally you can win with just about any thing, take me for example I have a 01 Civic EX that I run in STS. and I took 1st for the season (03).... Nationally Vs the 89 Si and 2.5 RS, I'd get my A$$ handed to me. |

Here goes nothing

I think with the exception of going up against good drivers in Cooper S', going to GS is a good thing. My times in DS-N have been 2nd or 3rd place, but the GS-N drivers are seconds behind if I look at old results. STS has a number of advantages, if only because of the hondata help, but I'm sticking with GS at least for one year. Although now I'm racing Alan!
