Cool Amuse Titan R1! (Pics and Vids)

I abandoned my Fujitsubo Powergetter. In comparrison, the Fujitsubo was very deep, quiet, but raspy. The Amuse has a rich deep and loud tone. To me, it seems to roll the sound. I have to say, I prefer the Amuse, it sounds awesome.

*UPDATED* 9/27/06 Re-uploaded pics and vid. for those who have requested such. This was when the exhaust was brand new. Since then, it's been "well seasoned". I highly discourage anyone from buying this new. The reasons being that it's expensive. If it breaks (and it will) you'll need titanium solder to repair it. The only two people who I've know to have this exhaust, K20ADC5R and myself, have both broken our exhaust in some way or another. Had I done it again, it'd consider the more cost efficient Kteller route. That is, unless you're into that show-going crap. Live and learn. Shigataganai.

Jeez, gimme a sec! I have a slow comp. so loading takes me eternity and a half. When I get back from the Tennis store, I'll upload the Fujistubo pics and vid I had so you can compare.

Alright another Amuse owner! I see you have the pre-silencer one, if you think it is loud, damn you may not want to hear mine in person.

I'm sure you will be very happy with the exhaust, I have been more than happy with mine. It is 1 year old in a few days, damn time flies.

Now just wait to till the pipe turns nice and blue, (secret, let the car idle for awhile to bluen it up more).

Chris

I think the sound is somewhat the same, maybe a tad different. It is hard to tell without really hearing it in person. And I don't know if he is running the stock exhaust manifold or an aftermarket one. Before I put the Toda on, it seemed to sound deeper actually than it does now, but it still is quite a deep tone. Bluewind, are you running an exhaust manifold at all, or is the stock piece still there?

It looks sweet, but it's a little loud for my tastes.

On a different note, what drop do you have? I love you Work wheels.

Chris, yes I am. I am running the Spoon 4-2 2-1. I imagine mine being a lower than yours. I've seen all of your vids, and they seem to be a higher toned. But you're right, it's too hard to tell without being in person. And...Japan > USA, might me a prob! haha.

Advan, thanks! I am lowered on the Eibach sportlines, and I can clear driveways headon.

OK. How are you liking the Spoon pieces? I will try to acquire a vid with the mic placed near the exhaust. I think it will sound like shit though, just too damn loud. haha My friends recorded me scream by them one night, have to try and get that clip, they couldn't believe how loud it was when I went by. When we met up later, they just had huge smiles on their faces and said, "Damn, that was so sexy"

I will get a clip of start-up like you have for a comparison's sake. How far away did you have the camera from the exhaust approximately? I will be recording on a Sony digi-cam so the mic is not all that.

Hhaha, I know how you feel, I have an older Sony digital camera, takes horrible sound/video clips. I can only record for 15 sec.! The clips don't even sound exactly like the exhaust. Anyhow, I had it pretty much underneath the exhaust, looking up. Prolly, 1-1.5 feet away. Just check out the angle, you can prolly replicate that.

But yea, I love the Spoon. I bet I'd be happoier with the Toda, but hey, I bought it used for a cheaper price, can't complain too much I suppose.... WAHHH! I wish I had the Toda!!! Just the fact that I don't have the best bugs me sometimes! (perfectionist) The low end imporved significantly with the header, haveta say a race header is worth the dough!

hahaha, that is what I told myself when I bought the R. Nothing cheap is getting installed on this thing, and I will shoot for what I feel is the best. Well my other Honda's never really had any cheap parts either. I will save until I can afford what I actually want. You only live once and money is meant to be spent, and might as well enjoy it while you are young.

Yea totally! Hey Chris, I would recogmend the K-Pro to you. I personally love it! I forgot to update my profile until now, so check it out. So it was unchanged for like... a year! Hahaha! But yea, my next mods would be the Toda cams and some exterior stuff, I look too plain... But I'm glad we're on the same wavelength with our goodies!

Believe me I really do want the K-Pro. My only problem is not having a dyno to go to to tune it. I know I can just use the ITR program that is there and maybe tweak it here and there, but I really would like to have it done right. Also, I don't want to be without my car for an extended period of time because of sending off the ECU from Japan. At the moment I am leaning towards the Mugen ECU, I can pick it up for like $1000, this way I still have my stock ECU and later down the road I can send in my ECU and have it upgraded to the K-Pro if I am not completely pleased with the Mugen ECU (which I would get with the 9100rpm rev-limit). And I could possibly sell the Mugen ECU to someone and if not, well I will just keep it for a rainy day and will actually only be out like $400 with no down time whatsoever.

My somewhat plain look will be a little rectified hopefully real soon. I ordered an Ings carbon hood on the 16th of June and they have to make it, they said up to a month before I take delivery, ughhhh, the wait is killing me. Not only does it look good, saves half the weight, it is very functional with the air inlet in the middle of the bonnet. Forces air down onto the exhaust manifold to alleviate some of the heat buildup in the engine bay. Win win situation all around.

Get them, get them. You will not be disappointed at all.

I have had some people ask me what is done to the engine? I said nothing yet, just the 3 normal bolt-ons. They can't believe it actually, but these are people who don't really care for Hondas all that much, I will slowly change their train of thought on Hondas.

nice cat-back, can you do some WOT flybys with it? I'd love to hear it. I'm contemplating switching to it.

Where can you by them new?
