Driving Style effect Dyno Results?

Does a particular driving style have any effect on Hondata #4 causing it to give different results on a Dyno?

Example of driving style would be driving conservatively (city driving for good milegae) and driving it hard (hitting vtec all the time)

Driving style won't affect #4.

Both styles will cause wear and tear on your engine, but the latter will more than the former, leading to slightly lower performance.

So driving the car harder is better in keeping the performance than conservative driving, assuming all maintenance checks are done?

this is what ive been told with a lot of my honda friends they say its better to beat on the car then driving it like a baby. ive also heard the ecu memorizes the way u drive so that y a lot of people beat on our cars. maybe the mith is tru dunno though but ive been beating on my car since after 3000 miles and its still running like a champ and if not maybe even better.

driving style wont affect #4....but from what i heard is...

when you get a brand new car...say you beat on your car to about 40000 miles...you will see higher dyno results then properly breaking in your car and after that conservative driving w/ a lil spirited driving every now and then...BUT in the end the car that you beat on from the get go will suffer alot more....

just change the oil frequently and perform all routine maintenance on time, it will be fine

the ecu does not memorize the way you drive.

think of it this way. one person that doesn't exercise, another one that exercises regularly within reason, or another one that has to run 20miles everyday with 200 pounds strapped to his back.

what about long term fuel trim? isnt that based on how the car is driven, ie gas floored all the time etc?? Im really curious about this.. anyone know how long term fuel trim is calculated??

Long term fuel trim is just to make the closed loop operation reach the target lambda quicker.

Open loop fuel is not affected by long term fuel trim.

The first 50-100 miles of the car's running is critical, after that it doesn't make any difference. You need to put the engine under high load / low rpm to break the engine in, and then dump the oil (despite what Honda says). I did that and I made 10 hp more in 100% stock form than other stock engines on the same dyno.
