Coilover gurus help needed!

Ok here I am with no upgrade on suspension! I need some that look good and dont kill me on the street. I do soooo much more drag racing than any left left left (hahaha) drivxing. What coilovers will make me happy. The new omnis look good for me but they dont have the same hookup on them like they do for the civics and dc2s. I am at a standstill. Any mix and match ideas? Any ideas? Help a man out!

If you are serious about drag, I would get some Teins with custom high rate rear springs (~800lbs) with normal front ones. High rear springs will help launch faster.

If not, just stick with Tein SS or Omni. I know there are a few others for the DC5 but I am not too well educated on them.

I've been extremely happy with my Megan's and their customer service is first-rate (i.e. zop_type_s.)

As well, when I went drag racing, I was able to play with the dampening and see what helped with my launches.

Peace

what i suggest is check out how your road condition is. if you want streetable that won't be a pain. determine how is your stock shocks feels: is it really comfortable and such. after that look at the coilovers of other company. the spring rate is what you should look at when determine how it going to ride on the street. compare it to stock and you can get an estimate on how harsh it will be.

what you should also look for is how much you want to spend and how adjustable the coilovers are. do you want to be able to control height, adjust dampening rate and adjust camber. their is a thread on spring rates for coilovers. it has a pretty good list of coilovers and their spring rates. if you can run stiffer coilovers because your roads are good then i would suggest higher spring rates.

i also suggest you to upgrade your tires and maybe get strut bars.

stock.....looking

Who the hell said you have to have JDM to be cool? I think all the people who jump on the JDM bandwagon and think they're cool because of it are nothing but secondary ricers
