I had my last one done by Swain-tech and I think it was about $65 bucks also.

Huge noticable difference in the radiant temps comming off that thing. You could almost touch it, before you felt any heat.

You can hold your hand a couple inches away from it and wont feel anything, then you touch it and you'll burn the shit out of yourself lol. Don't fall for the no-radiant-heat trickery!!! Definitely worth the money

do it. its well worth it. i got mine coated by a reputable shop that does work all over the country. luckily, they're local to me. costed $55 for hotside, $100 for manifold (any size 4 cyl), and $30 for DP.

They coated the inside too? Isn't that a bad idea? I thought good thermal coating was always a lighter color... looks really nice though.

the color doesnt matter. with polydyn, the lighter color doesnt resist rusting, while the "cobra black" does. plus, i like it black.

i thought coating the inside was bad too, but so far no problems. there was still enough space around the fins, even for when metal expands with heat.

yeah but i couldnt send mine there. as i have to have my exhaust housing ported to fit a larger wheel, so the coating would cause issues. if i taped it off and put a note DONT COAT INSIDE you think they wouldnt?

they prolly dip the whole part in the coating, with doing so they prolly wouldnt. but its worth a try.

do you guys think that getting used parts coated would be ok?
