How to make 2006 Type S Faster than stock S2000???

How hard is it to make an '06 Type S as fast as an S2000?

Will Hondata reflash and CAI intake do the trick?

Reason asking is because I am contemplating trading my S2000 for a Type S....

....good tires and CAI will already make you faster than a S2K...and to beat a 04+ S2K just get h/i and good tires...exhaust i wont ever worry about because i dun feel any different with an aftermarket exhaust

I don't know the 1/4-mile times off the top of my head, but my RSX-S feels much torquier than my S2000.

The S2k is geared more aggressively, but the mid-range of the RSX-S' engine is much friendlier.

But to answer your question... in straight-line only performance, a good set of tires alone should do the trick.

In handling, there is almost nothing you can do to the RSX to make it handle as good as the S2k.

Good lord why would you trade your s2000 for an RSX. I'd kill for an s2000. You should trade with me.

I currently have an '06 Lexus IS 350 and a 2004 S2000...

The S2000 is almost out of warranty, and is due for new tires, maintenance, etc.. My two options are: 2006 S2000 or 2006 RSX type S..

I love the RSX, but not sure if I would miss the S2000 too much.... So, trying to see if it is possible to make the RSX as fun to drive as the S2000....

I love my RSX, but S2000 was my first choice, couldn't come up with the extra 17k. RWD and ragtop FTW.

Edit: If you dont need the back seat and you can afford to buy a new s2000.. Why the hell would you want to downgrade.. in a sense.

i'd say the type s is a better daily driver..but then again do you just want a "fun" car to drive, cause i'm sure you could have some more fun in the s2k than in a type s, but slap some bolt ons on the type s and you'll be having plenty of fun

If i wasnt leasing i would trade you my 06 type S for your S2000...in other words get a new S2000 unless you need a back seat. I went from a IS300 to the type S not by choice i totaled the IS....you'll regret it just like me.

My '05 S2K > '06 RSX-S

The RSX had i/h/e and I had him by at least 3 cars from a dig. From a 20mph roll, I had him by about 1.5 maybe 2. Now he's got a clutch and getting a new flywheel & K-Pro and we'll race again.

I also raced veilsideguy before he had the s/c. He has an '04 RSX-S which at the time had i/h/e and street-tuned K-Pro. From a 20mph roll, I had him by about 1 or 1/2 car length

Trading an S2000 for an RSX is stupid. Yes an RSX responds better to N/A mods much better than an S2000, but s/c or turbo the S2000 and dust a s/c or turbo'd RSX

w/e alex, lol, you know i wasnt street tunned and that i touched my vtec when i shouldnt have, plus everyone that knows me knows i dont race my car "like its stolen" .

and yes a s/c s2k would beat a s/c rsx but Turbo wise i deffinitly think its up in the air.
