ITR,dc5 Red carpet, Pics of Install and review.

Is this sexy or what?

The pics dont do it justice, trust me. The pictures of it installed are kinda late in the day so it looks really bloody red in the passenger picture. Tell me what you think. I had it in for about a hour and I went to the gas station and someone said that was the coolest interior they had ever seen.. I am so happy with the way it turned out.

I have a ITR right hand drive gas lever comming and people dig the dead pedal on the pasanger side to. More to pics to come.

Oh ya, that is vynal over the mats. These are brand new and I dont want to get the worn. sacrafice a little look but it is worth it. I want to take pics with the covers off because it will look sick. I must say that the Titanium goes great with the color. I dont want to do the black interior swap because I really thing it looks better like this.

I am glad you asked. It is something I perfected. I am a motorhome detailer and I work with 1,000,000$ motorhomes and perfected this protectent for mats.I have had my OEM mats in my car for over a year now and put this plastic over them the day after I got the car from the dealership. They are 100% perfect like they just came off the shelf and I am going to sell them as brand new. I can send you pre cut fitted for eather the ITR mats or stock if you wantI charge about 10$ a mat and 15 for the rear because it is so big. i might be able to do it cheaper but I would have to see. Worth every penny if you ask me. When I clean my car I just wipe with windex and looks brand new.also when driving it feels really good under your feet. sometimes I cant even tell that there is plastic on there because it is so clear. It cost me 350$ for ITR mats and normally I would not buy them for so much but because of this I can still get the look and sell them later as brand new. So I got um. I put this in my friends landcruiser because he has 3 kids and over a year and a half later he still has it on and it still looks great.

This isn't grandma's old funature, you don't need a plastic cover over it. It would look much better without it.

Ha, Each to his own I guess. Just to let you know that I do take them off at a car shows. Everyday driving keeps them PRISTINE!!!. I am a detailer and the ease of maintance is worth every penny. people really like them including grammas. I put them in my mothers rx 430 Lexus for mothers day and in my dads 06 Tundra for fathers day and they loved um. Thats all I here is they make it so easy to keep the car clean. I like that clean still in the rapping look so I dont know Another thing is that you cant really tell there are on there. Its only because they are in the sun that you can see the reflection. Floor mats go quick and 350$ for me is going to last forever

i think its hott!! think it would look better with something else accenting the red mats. (ie red door inserts, or some diy red stitching on the seats/shiftboot) btw i like the plastic cover idea. kudos to u.

Its is under the seat. to open I pull on a wire under the seat. I got the mats from a person who lives in Japan and parts out jdm items. He order them for me and saved me some money on shipping

So are you going to leave the cable under the seat and install the RHD lever as a "dummy", or are you going to actually change it over to the passenger side?

It will actually work on the passenger side. brake cable will extend like 3 feet.

I would rather have the vinyl on than buy new floormats or clean them every week

i saw ur posts on ITR-dc5

how are u getting the gas lever? I contacted the guy and got the quote, but my local honda dealer can't order that

i'm actually gonna do the same thing u are planning on doing... do u have any pics of the driver's side dead pedal area? how does it fit with the carpet? also, on the passenger side dead pedal, is there abything behind the dead pedal? or is it just on the carpet... how did u deal w/ the moulded part?

thansk man

First things first. The ITR gas lever I am still working on getting from a person who parts out ITRs in China. If this does not work I will be welding a bracket to fit the oem lever on the right side. As for the dead pedal there is the support off another rsx, The fitment on the passenger side is fantastic 100% perfect. here is a pic. The driver side fit ok but still needs work.It does not lay all the way to the back but really close. The problem is a easy fix though using Velcro strips. The fitment on the carpet was shockingly good just need to worked. This was actually a fun mod. I did it in about a hour.
