DIY-PureVision HID Kit

here are some pics of them. package looks cheap materials but quality is good. some of DIY Guides here helped me little but not that much. and every kit is different. but i will try to explain every detail as possible.
If u like to purchase this, Contact "RSX-CT" or visit his Website. (Pm me for website if u r interested.)

before DIY, u need 10mm sockets with an extenstion. that's all you need
for this kit. (other zip ties, necessary hardwares are included in this kit)

1. It's up to u whether u wanna lift ur car or not. I recommand you do it because easy to remove bumper and makes job much easier.

2. I suggest you to remove headlamps to proper installation. unscrew those bolts that i marked RED CIRCLE.

3. remove side one too. RED CIRCLE

4. ok. this is where i got stuck first time. If you look under the headlamps, u need an extesion to remove this bolt. it's really tighten first time. you need to use some force.

5. Now all bolts are removed. now just unplug all the bulbs. (just twist quater of counterclock way)

6. place your removed headlamps on Towel or blanket whatever it is that does not make scartch ur headlamps to work on.

7. remove rubber weather seal just pulling it out and remove stock H1 bulbs by uncliping it and u will see like this.

8. Now replace it with your HID bulbs with X-clips. This took me some time to install bulbs because without X-clips it fits perfect but somehow, when i place it with x-clips it doesnt fit right. and i realized it suppose not to fit tight as perfect fit with X-clips but it will be ok when u clip it to secure bulbs. (bulbs will not move at all). I accidently broke one of X-clips but i managed well to clip on top of X-clip so it was ok. (Here's Todd's X-clip Tutorial. http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=399366)

9. put your rubber seal back. when u put your rubber seal back, this kit has rubber ring on bulb wires. you just need to squeeze to make perfect fit on seal.

10. This again took me some time to decide where i should put my Ballast.
first i decided on bottom of my headlamps and did not work. so i choose a
my CAI resv. Of course, you need strong Double Side Tape.

11. place your red wire to positive side of battery. black wire goes to negative side or any ground point. I just connected it directly to negative side.

12. plugs that look like "II " goes to your driver side H1 connector. H1 connector has red wire and black wire too. so just match it up with color.

13. Now Testing ~

14. now time for other side. It's basically same procedures. however, I placed my ballast to this place on passenger side.

here's another pic

Yes again, you must use double-side tape.
I didnt wanna drill and did not have tool for it. and this should be ok.
Important! when you place ballast here, consider the bolt (RED CIRCLE) that needs some space.

15. Testing Again.

16. Make sure everything is done correctly.

17. Reinstall your headlamps back and bumper. Done.

Comments: when this kit came, I was suprised that it looked really cheap.
but Trust me. this kit is reliable as XenonDepot with cheaper price.
You do not need to place aftermarket harness either. everything
is covered by warranty. (it's not gonna burn or blow anyway). Overall, I love it!!!

Note: I test drove around at night to see if my aim is done correctly. (actually i did not even touch it after installation. )
I think kit itself with modified X-clips seats properly that it does not aim high enough beam opposite car.

Cutt off line?? uhmm? (I am noob. what is it?) I test drove and tested light at wall with my Dad's Murano Light make sure it doesnt blind people. without adjusting. It sits lower enough not to blind other people.

8. Now replace it with your HID bulbs with modified X-clips. wasup mann?! im also interested in buying this kit, and i have a question... do i still need the x-clips? you said that its kinda loose when using the x-clips... thanks!

If you aim your HID too low then you'll think for the first night "wow this is great HID FTW"

then the next night you'll be like "I can't see shit!"

inmydream316, what do you mean "modified" x-clip? I've got the MTEC HID kit and trying to install them, but the bulb does not have that "x-clip" so the HID bulb could not be lock down with the factory headlight bulb spring. Thanks.

yeah i mean just X-clip my bad. modified stock. --> X-clip. my mistake.

Most HID kits do not include X-clips because all different kind.
for our cars, u need to cut stock one to make X-clip.
U pull out H1 connector, and take out bulbs and it looks like X.
u cut it down to make X-clip. if u see my pic and compare to stock one, u get idea.

Yeah, you need X-clip to secure bulbs not to move. you can cut stock ones by cutting it as u can see on pic.
why i said "bulbs does not fit perfectly with x-clip" ?
First see step 7 pic. it has certain shape. and HID bulb has exactly same shape to fit in. however, if u place it with x-clip it does not fit all the way in. I thought it was something wrong when i was installing it. then i realized, with X-clip it's the way it is. Just place it in
with X-clip (it's ok it doesnt have to sit right in) then secure it by clip it over X-clip. then make sure it's tight enough.
u will get the idea seeing step 7 and 8 pics. (when u place X-clip it has to be vertical way not horizontal.)
