What To Ask For My Car??? Tell Me What U Think...

so im considering getting rid of my 2002 type-s. and i have an idea of what i want to ask for it. just seeing what u guys would consider giving for it. just to see if my numbers are right on...or way off. mods are in my sig. the turbo kit would come w/the car. not installed. for those that dont know how to read a sig. here are my mods:

full champ white paintjob (3 mnths old)- $3k
black interior- free
authentic ro_ja polyurethane lip kit- $800

thats pretty much it. car has 100k miles on it....

runs very strong though. compression is top notch and no leaks or any other problems. not to many white rsx's w/black interiors running around. and even fewer are "champ white" (like a true honda integra). let me know guys.

i wish i could help but it is really hard to put a price on a modded car. the average buyer (99% of people) is not looking for a substantially modified car. i think it will just take time to find the right buyer that is willing to pay what the car is truely worth.

or maybe you could get lucky and find one right away.

i just remembered reading a thread recently about a guy wanting to get a white type s but he wants PURE white, not the pwp creamy white.

like ar said... most dont want a modded car, but if you sold with the mods your prolly looking at getting maybe 15 or 16 tops. and thats being generous i think... it may run strong and be perfectly fine but the milage is a killer, the fact its not the stock paint, etc... sorry... i know how it sucks to hear that.

im trying to sell mine as well... i have a good deal less miles and im only expecting 13 for mine.

Good to be back to CRSX. Car looks nice man only thing is the mileage is high. Most people won't pay over book for it, but there's a right buyer for everything.

Lol jk, sorry i dont have any experience with buying or selling cars, did you ever think of showing it off at carshows with a big FORSALE sign, then you attract the kinda crowd that is interesting in a modded car like yours. And bubz idea of parting out is good too, cuz most people dont like to buy a car already modded, and youll make alot of money from your mods sold seperatly.

Honestly, you're going to be lucky if you get $11k on a private party sale. You're going to have to wait until that 0.01% of the population comes along who is looking for a modified car. Supply/demand. High supply, low demand.... low price.

A dealer will probably offer you around $8-9k, because it will certainly sit on the lot for a long time, and they can't offer it with the certified warrenty.

The mileage doesn't help either.

Per Kelley Blue Book, the car priced at $11.5K. Mods do not raise value of the car, but only lower it. You might probably get $11k-$12K. Sorry, but it is life.

^^^LAWL!! no seriosly its not worth alot. the only ppl who are going to want it are kids. and no k id is going to drop 18k on a car with 100k miles. the most is maybe 12. you have to rememberall that shit drops the resale value WAY down. thats why if your going to mod a car, sell it fast before you rack up miles or go all out and make it a show car or just run it into the ground.
