yeah, that's exactly what I'll do

I did get a new one, I thought I mentioned that, maybe not, but he sent me a new one under warranty instead of repairing the one I sent it- I ground it out alot, hopefully the angle that I have it at now will not take the stress blows it did when the motor was closer to the ground lol.

I didn't move the mount location, I'd never really taken detailed pics of the location so maybe that's why after these pics it looks different

nice vid

because if you put it before the cat and then when i get a race header i would lose the cut out or would have to redo it onto the race header. westminster, ca.

he's so great about customer service! never a question about why your sending it in, he just sends fixes it or sends a new one! and no leaks while its on is key

Found a tuner, waiting on the o2 sensor and a hundred or two, #'s in a month and a half max if anyone cares

I have your exact same electric cutout on my 66, it works awesome and its good for when you are crusing in the city or near cops and you don't want everyone in a 2 block radius staring at you

I've not started into the k-pro tuning yet so until then I thought this would be the best spot. If its there then you can still get the RH and highflow cat or whatever you choose and still maintain stock sound somewhat but also open up for more flow when needed. This also would not have an effect on O2 senser would it? Again I'm not a tuner so be nice.

ok, sorry, I have not been on much over the last month. to respond to your post, the closer the cutout is to your engine the better, but the O2 sensor still has to be between the engine and the cutout. the ideal exhuast would be individual exhaust primary cutouts or IEPC's but they don't make those... yet.

to update the thread, I plan to get tuned for my cutout being open within the next two weeks. I know people wanna see #'s right away but to bad. I'll post up a dyno sheet as soon as I have it tuned. hoping for teens in the two hundreds on stock motor with CAI/Shorty Comptech Header/Cut-out. But whatever it ends up as will be an answer to the question of cutout vs. catback, at least on an n/a k20a2 without a race header for what thats worth.

later, Mike

i am very interested in this now... I am actually thinking about doing the same but my supporting mods would be reflash + cai...

1. I will definetly do a dyno test comparing both open and closed valves when I get it finished.

2. How hard is it to relocate the o2 sensor

3. How expensive was it to get it installed at a shop because if it is too much, or more then I bargained for I will do it myself...

4. How do you get the piping you weld in to be flush and air tight to the valve assembly ??

5. Is it better to have it pointing straight downward like the guy one 8thgencivic did or to the side like yours?

I definetly need to do a little more research before i jump into this...

I pooled some of the information together from what the TS said and some of the dyno sheets and put it into one thread.. if yall could talk about it over there too that would be very beneficial..
