2006 Evo 9 MR vs Big Turbo GLI!

Well lastnight me and a few of my friends were playing around on the highway. One of my buddies has a 2006 Evo IX MR...Full 3" turboback exhaust, ECU flash, and a stage 4 carbonetiecs twin disk clutch. Very nice car, and now has come alive since it's recent reflash! Another friend of mine has a built bottom end 2004 GLI, with a big turbo. He has pretty much all the bolt-ons, fuel, fmic, 3", and is dyno tuned! Very nice car also...Well they met lastnight.. and let's just say they had some sick runs, check it out...

Nice races!

The evo 9 mr is one baaad car, although I think they are a bit on the expensive side for the amenities you get.

GLI needs to learn how to break boost if he didnt especially off that 60 roll totally out of 3rd gear powerband... off that 20 roll traction owned him. Nonetheless 2 fast cars and great runs!

Lol, im not really sure I heard him right when we asked that question. Either a gt30rs or a gt3076r (or is it gt3071r?) One of those.

He's making right around 400+ to the wheels.

400 whp for the jetta? damn that evo is fast as hell for those mods then.. pretty sick. i freaking hate jettas though, that body is one of the biggest chick cars and VW thinks by puttin bbs wheels, a red GLI badge and cosmetic shit that all of sudden its a racer version of a gay mans car.. they are fuggllyy as hell

Go EVO go. that jetta was pretty damn quick, but it seems like a one trick pony. str8 line accleration does not a fast car make.
