CEL - PO141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2) HELP!

Yesterday car wouldn't start, oil was very low and car hasn't been maintained. 83000 miles so I changed the spark plugs and did an oil change.

Car starts and idles at 500-650 rpm, doesnt even go high to warm up, struggles to stay on.

I have type r hondata flash, r cams & manifold, aem cai, jrrh w/ obd1 carsound cat, and 5zigen exhaust.

so i get the reader from autozone and it tells me.

CEL - PO141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

PO301 - cylinder 1 misfire
Caused Freeze Frame

I am trying to resolve this, will buying a new cat and secondary 02 sensor alleviate the problem, or is there more to this.

I was also thinking maybe something could be leaking air in the engine.
I don't know I am confused, LONG TIME board member, brother has the car need to fix it for him.

You don't need to replace your cat. But u need to replace your secondary 02 sensor.

Thats whats worrying me, BUT WHY would the car misfire or stall and run low rpm at idle from just a bad 2nd O2 sensor

Ive been running with a bad O2 sensor for a long time.

bad o2 sensor, wont cuase low idle, ive run without one for awhile and the idle was fine, have ever cleaned ur iacv???
As for misfire code, not sure....try another spark plugs!!! Coil goin bad maybe???

Spark plugs is your misfire problem. There is nothing wrong with your cat just buy an O2 sensor. You can actually run cars perfect without an O2 sensor, but it will sound like you have a huge exhaust leak.

secondary O2 will throw a CEL unless you have K-pro, but won't affect anything else. if plugs are good, you have a bad coil pack or a sticking injector.

Little Update,
went to the muffler shop, the wires going into the secondary 02 sensor where unplugged, now I need to know how to put those 4 wires into the right location.
All of a sudden after stalling and having to drive the car with revs high,
it started idling normal.

Confusion, confusion.

I haven't touched the iacv> explain?

As for the Coil goin bad, how would I check that?

Im an goin to change to the new ob2 carsound highflow, because currently running the obd1 carsound cat.

It's likely that the undone wires from the secondary sensor were shorting out, causing your codes and problems.

i have a similar problem.. i have a 02 RSX type S and my secondary o2 sensor got ripped from the plastic molex plug the other day when i hit something in the road. now i have 4 wires hanging that were completely pulled from the molex sliver pins and all. anyone know the placement of the wires? i cant find it anywhere.. please help!
