F430 dyno video, weird results?

353 rwhp sounds really low for a car rated at what, 480 hp at the crank? It does sound really good though.

I mean you can't really take dyno numbers that seriously but 353whp? that is soooo weak for a ferrari v8...compared to say a Supra which makes that much with an exhaust and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars less. Whatever.

I don't understand, streetfire hardly ever works for me, it just loaded the first 3 seconds which was just words. And the page won't reload, even if I click on another video on the page that video won't even load. I don't like that site.

yeh seriously. Most of todays entry level lux sedans make like 300 HP.

it IS a mustang dyno, did you see the P-drag figure? showing like 92hp or something. If you look above that it says 'engine horsepower' and has a 447hp figure. It also seemed like he used a much higher gear than 4th, so maybe that's why it seems so low.

If you look at the speedo it seems like they did a 4th gear pull. 4th gear will probably read lower since that car most likely has a very strong 4th gear. You ever try dynoing an RSX in 4th? I made 174whp. In 3rd I made 192whp lol. That car is an easy 400whp on the right kind of dyno and the right gear.

You're supposed to pick the gear with the closest ratio of 1.0:1

In the RSX-S, it is 4th gear.

If you dyno in 3rd, you're not getting correct dyno figures unless the shop corrects their dyno for your gear ratio specifically.

and people thought I was bsing when I said I took that same ferrari up to 120mph with 330whp 290torque and the one I took wasnt even modded. It came right off the showroom floor.

What the hell are you talkin about? How are you gonna say people dont think Ferraris and Lambos are fast as hell? I was just pointing out that for a high revving, highly developed Italian v8, 350whp is not what i expected. I never said anything about Ferrari's target demographics or what they are looking for in their cars. No. You're missing the point. I guess you don't see many Ferraris where you're at. I see them daily, and on occasion speak to their owners. Unlike you riceboy, they aren't typically after dyno queen peak HP numbers. Most of them see the car as a fucking fashion accessory. They will never see a racetrack. They don't get raced at all. They are driven to beach clubs, country clubs, and other good old boy meets. Only on CRSX do little fanboy faggots talk about things they read about in Motor Trend and Automobile magazine, and think that folks who own something they can't afford use it for what they dream of.

I'd agree that most Ferrari owners view their cars as a fashion accessory and they like to be able to brag about how much HP Ferrari says it has.

If Ferrari said it had 700 HP but only dynoed 58 HP most would probably be ok with that ;-)

I'm in LA, these things are like Civics, I barely notice an F430 anymore, I'm getting so warped.
