Latest update is that the shell should be getting sprayed today, then doors, boot (trunk) and bonnet (hood) tomorrow. They are going to fit some sound proofing under the roof lining, then line it then put the space frame back into it so that I can collect on the weekend. I am unsure if it will happen as there have been many delays along the way but I have my fingers crossed.
So once I get it I will post up a load of pictures. Then I have to fit all the electrics, brakes, cooling, interior. Then take it to get stickered up, the details of which I will leave until the car is fully stickered. subtle but suggestive is what I am trying to acheive - mind you with the big arches and wheels it might not work out lke that. More to come in the near future............. |

I think going NA is good enough...you don't need the extra HP/Tq from the charger to push it....you'll have traction issues like a bitch...That is one bad MOFO though...there's a guy here in Sac with the same exact setup except his was a K20a2 w/ the charger. Traction was his biggest problem..shifting through the gears and not going anywhere...especially if you have the 4.7 FD plus the charger...
but I bet it'll be Bad Ass.. |

Update
Unfortunately the car had to go back to have one of the arches re-aligned, so no new pictures.
Hope to get it picked up again in mid November, yeah I know thats a long time but they have to do some other stuff that wasnt ready for collection and as the place where I am picking it up from is 300miles from me I dont tend to make the trip to often, plus I need to get transporter to carry it. The Sylva looks sweet, the power to weight ratio will be not to dissimilar. I can imagine it very 'chuckable' in the twisties. Traction shouldnt be too much of an issue especially of the line as the engine is perfectly placed for gripping those 205 wide tires, gonna see if I can squeeze some Kumho 235's in there in the future (I have a 10mm (3/8") spacer in there at the moment). Also gonna run slicks when doing proper quarter mile so should grip gooooood........ I had a demo again a couple of weeks ago with Chris the owner of Zcars, this guy really knows how to throw a car around, it was a standard k20A2 from a EDM Type R Civic (same as mine but w/o charger, heh heh...). He made this thing go round corners in the wet that you probably would not go round as quick in the dry, the brakes are simply awesome and he doesnt have four pots all round. I am so looking forward to getting this thing on the road that I nearly piss every time I think about it. Cant wait til mid November to get her picked up. In the meantime I will get some pictures of the stuff thats going inside and get them posted up sometime soon.
