Well, if you've been browsing the FS forums you'd have seen that majority of my setup is gone with the exception of the big pieces like my built transmission and Brembo brake assembly. Still have a Sparco Corsa if anyone wants .

Car is being reverted as my daily driver. Shall fix up the exterior dmg that had been done through tracking. It'll look better than it ever did, but will also be slower than it ever was....

Many have asked what I was moving on to, guess it's assumed I can't kick old habits! Well they're right. I picked up a new car to play with. Looking forward to seeing you all back out there in the future!

Nice to see someone else who has a Mazda rotary and an RSX-S. I feel special now. I do wish someone would buy my RSX though. Two cars is one too many for me. My RSX is lonesome.

Hehe. Yea but it is nice to have a NA as a daily. Honda's instantaneous throttle response and the dc5's steering feel I really appreciate. All I can say is that I don't like the handling of my fd as it stands. Extremely hard compression settings and squirrely characteristics; and that's just on the street. It's a mixture of the previous owners doing and old age. It might look nice, but it feels like crap. There's alot to be done.

On an up note, I finally found my torque

An FD?!?! hahaha Brett, just jazzing you. Have a couple friends back in Okinawa that are rotary gods when it comes to tuning. Hope the car works out for you, they can be made to be pretty fast and quite reliable as well if the person tuning knows what they are doing. My friend's FD lasted for just about 5 years pushing about 450ps and was beat on constantly. I know that doesn't sound like too much powerwise in the grand scheme, but it is plenty, especially when they don't weigh too much. Handling wise they are awesome as well, sure once you get yours sorted out you will have nothing but good things to say about its handling traits.

I don't know how the handling of the FD compares to the RX8 but I was able to knock 6 seconds off my best time with the RSX-S at Sebring with my stock RX8. And the Acura had a modified suspension and Hondata. I love the handling of the RX8, far and away the best I've ever driven. Maybe you just need to loosen it up a little and undo some of the stuff that was done to it. Glad you found your torque.

Haha Chris, well at least I didn't disappoint you in staying with Honda, purchasing an ap2, and another Amuse exhaust (although that would've made the most sense!). I wouldn't scoff at 450ps, that's more than enough in my opinion. With 5 years life, that's pretty darn impressive. Do you know what seals he used?

I know what you mean Jim. I've seen quite a few incredibly fast rx8's. It's nice to see the 8 live up to mazda's racing heritage. When it first came out I was disappointed with Mazda's overestimation in power and series of recalls. Yet, what rotary hasn't had recalls, haha. Love the color of your car btw and thanks, I'll try not to lose it again!

Just as you both say it'll just take a little time to get things to feel right. People are so focused on power and styling that they neglect the most important aspect to the car. The good thing about this is that I'll know exactly what is going into the car. I wouldn't have it any other way when it comes down to suspension. First things first. Upgrading to 22" rims, haha.
