this is one of those "because we could" things. They lost the purpose of the car when they lost the RB engine. If I was gonna drop a vette engine into anything it would be an FC or something like that

Its like the mustang in tokyo drift where they put in an RB26 for show, but still ended up using the mustang with a ford V8 for all the actual filming.

If someone on the boards ended up swapping a LS1 and RWD into an RSX, I bet half the forums would be like..... butbutbutbut k20 with fwd.......

or because it was cheaper than buying several mustangs and swapping all of them?

theyr'e a movie and had a budget to meet, they're gonna do whatever's the cheapest and goets the job done.
