Whats your agenda for it for the next few weeks/months?
Probably next summer. I have to pull the drivetrain out of the camaro and part out the rest. Meanwhile, I also have to pull the kit and motor out of the rsx and return it back to stock. Also my current 240z needs a bit of bodywork that I planned on doing myself such as new floors, lower quarter panels, inner fender patch but I think I might bite the bullet and buy a cleaner shell to save time and just have it soda blasted instead of mediablasted.

A year will give me a nice time frame to play with ideas on what motor setup I want. Not sure if I want procharger, twin turbo, nitrous etc. I wanted to wait before I bought the motor but an offer came up I couldn't let pass.

Nitrous would be the easiest.

Procharger would be more usable power.

TT would just be excess power more for the strip.

(Generally)

Is it going to be a track car?

Street/strip/track car. I want to do it all with this one. I want to be able to run single digits, road race it, and still be able to pull on people like I do now with the rsx. You're right I might just do an N/A built motor for 450whp-500whp and then throw a 200+ shot dual stage for the 1320 and highway pulls. We'll see the stock motor can take 600-650whp and mine has very low mileage on it.

Haha thanks. Yeah not too many people modding datsuns. They are not easy to mod right and I cant imagine the amount of hours I will have to spend to get this car done. Just to put coilovers in I have to cut the stock strut housing, weld them in and also weld in camber plates into the body.

true but it would be worth it at the end, i always wanted to swap in an rb26 or an 2jz.

the lines on that car are soo timeless, only a few people have done them right and they look gorgeous

I figured it would be an all in one car.

I would say all motor would be the best of both worlds.

You will have the reliability, and with the juice you take care of the strip.

Plus its a little more sleeper not having a fat intercooler in the front giving all the fun away.

Once you hear the v8 rumble it won't be sleeper lol. The intercooler would look sexy though.
