Lost to Cobalt SS ... why??

I have CAI/EX/IMG/#4. I dont know what he had under his hood, but it was the supercharged one. He had an Injen sticker. 20 to 90 he had me by 2 cars. 40-90 may 1.5. Are those cars that much faster than ours? Even with my mods?

I have seen a bolt on cobalt ss/sc run 12.9 @112. ..Nothing major, smaller pulley, exhaust, intake, and a tune I think. internals or supercharger internals untouched.

Yeah but that Cobalt that ran 12's also had drag radials too. Big difference. But yes a header would make a big difference for the rsx.

The short answer to the question is YES, they are that much faster. When I have my 05 S I raced my friend with this SS ( SC) and 3 out of 3 he walked me. Then after I did minor things CAI, BC exhaust, and he did stage 2 upgrade from GM. lets just say he REALLY beat me.

What did you expect? A Cobalt SS are fast (just like everybody says), and the newer ones are that much faster. Dont be surprised just because its a Chevrolet. A Cobalt SS with the factory upgraded pulley, some bolt ons, are good for a high 13.

The turbo models with some bolt ons.....

The ss was DEFF modded. have buddies with plenty of cobalt SS's and we were pretty much even and i only had short ram and exhaust at the time..
