Im also thinking about removing the POS bulb that is in my boost gauge and replacing it with some LED's. That would brighten it up a little.

TK-421...

what size piping are you getting or are you mating these parts to an existing pipe setup?

I do to monitor belt slip and to see if Im ACTUALLY boosting...helps to save gas. Partial throttle is notorious for jumping into boost faster than I realize, so its good to be able to see when you're trying to save gas.

Gotcha...well I got some electrical tape so I guess I could just wrap those up to clean up the look a little.
don't use just electrical tape. it will end up putting sticky residue all over the wire, you put the loom over the wires and then put electrical tape around it.

Also, I think from your perspective it won't block the rpms too much and besides your tunerview will flash at the shift point

Well its SUPPOSED to flash at the shift point...Im still working on that Something is not quite right with it yet so I still gotta get some kinks out. For some reason my adapter box that allows hondata to communicate with the tunerview is overheating or something and stopping the connection. Im talking to them right now to resolve the issue so...

I guess I'd just have to buy it to see how much its blocking the RPM's but those pics on the item page dont really show a good "driver perspective"

I guess I can take the $35 plunge and see how it works then post back.

You could also rig up the led on your boost gauge to flash as your shift point. So many possibilities.

yeah, Im looking at it and thinking about how much it would block your view. It look as though they tried to get it as low as possible. I just thought you may want a cleaner intall look.

yeah I would use that gauge pod mount (I'm gonna use it for my wideband gauge when I get one in a few weeks). But get some small wire loom and put it over those wires them wrap tape on it, it'll just give it more of a finished look. Also, what I was getting at with your radar detector was that the cable could be swapped out for some black 4-wire phone cable. It's flat, black and easy to hide in between the headliner and roof. You could soder on the power wire connect to it then run it across the headliner, down the a pillar and into the fuse box, then use an add-a-circuit. Works awesome Plus, radar mounted high above the rearview mirror will give you the most 'detection' range when driving highway speeds, help you pick up radar over top of hills and curves. I find my 8500 x50 works best up there and I think you'll notice that the v1 does as well too. Laser is fucking worthless to detect, because it just means you're getting pulled over lol, so that's why I don't bother mounting it low.

I mean it DOES look cleaner. Im just going for function over form here. I COULD get some kind of bracket and paint it black and screw it into the plastic there to hold the gauge in place??

I'd have to look around at the pieces open to me at Lowes or whatever.

Here is what I'd REALLY like to do. I'd like to get a different CD player headunit and have the entire bottom half of the main display area open for mods. I can dash mount the tunerview there AND the boost gauge. That would be the best...however it requires me buying a new headunit.

4300k for hids or you're a ricer. I hate blue light.

It ist hard to hook up a shift light. Doesnt kpro have a function for that? Your new device sounds like it does.

I'll look into the power stuff once I get the V1. Right now I'll just deal with the annoying coiled wire. Do you recommend I get that concealed display for the V1 or is it not really worth it?

I think the tunerview II has the option...not K-pro. Its a switch set by the item turning on the shift light based on RPM signal given by K-pro.

The v1 beeps like a bat out of hell so as long as you can see the arrows where its mounted, the concealed display is worthless. Its just more wires to run and more space to take up or searching for a suitable place to mount it.

IDK...I sit up higher and look down...which would be better I guess. Tell you what I'll see if I can buy this sucker and take some pics.

oem o2 sensor can be wrong at times, although its less off an issue at your power level, hence the need for a external wideband gauge to help you 'trust' the oem one. d-rob preaches this often. 250$~ for a gauge/sensor/pod to make sure my engine doesn't pop = worth it.
