Update from Friday evening.

Got a new battery after my Braille shit out on me at the track Wednesday night. Went with an Optima yellow top. Has the largest reserve capactiy of any Optima made, very happy with it so far.

Had to take apart the battery setup in the back and drill new holes etc for the larger battery.

Compared to the old Braille.

Also disconnected my pcv, plugged the mani and put a filter on the valve.

Got a new starter as well. My old starter had been causing me problems off and on for a year now. Mostly when the weather gets cooler out, it would stick etc.

Today Bandimere Speedway hosted an event called World Tuner Challenge. I placed my car in the show as well as the bracket racing competition they had. I had never bracket raced before, and I had a blast. The car was very consistent 11.8s again despite the hot weather today and the nasty headwind we had. My trap speeds depending on the wind were up to 2mph slower but I did do a personal best 1.77 60' which I was very happy with. I plan to go to the test and tune events the next three weeks to continue getting seat time and we'll see what happens. There were alot of people that seemed to be appauled that my full weight rsx could run 11s up here, I was only running .2 or .3 slower than alot of the stripped and gutted k series hatches that also had turbo setups. Except I drive my car to and from the track unlike their trailer queens.

Oh and I also got a trophy in the show, so that was kinda cool I suppose. Ill post pics and vids later tonight probably.

Vids!!!!!!! Congrats Steve glad you stuck with it and have such a supporting family. Id prolly never have a turbo car if it werent for my dad helping me with everything i do. Hes not soooooo supportive and thinks its a money sink but hes happy that im happy. Also said hed pay for my ppgs if my tranny breaks. He was like why dont you just replace that gear. I said "Would you like me to keep replacing it? Or replace it with something that will never break." =)

If your dad is willing to pay for ppg's, he is sooo supportive.

My dad told me, "make sure you have money left over for when it breaks".

Yeah when I first got the car 3 1/2 years ago when I was a senior in high school my parents would hate on how much money I spent on it. Then by about 3 years later they realized it wasn't going away and kinda gave up on trying to convince me to stop spending all my money on it. By that point I had almost 25k in it, which was more than the 20k I paid for the car itself in '06.

My parents have NO clue what I've done to my car. Kinda went through this with my truck that I had before and they weren't thrilled, so I'm sure they'd be real happy seeing me do it bigger and better with the RSX.
