My 05 Base Auto Boosted RSX *pictures included
I have updated pictures of the car in post 115.
So I have been on this forum for a while and never really looked at it much... But now I am here to see how others are doing it, and I decided I should she the ClubRSX community my ride. For starters, I have a 2005 MM RSX, Base auto, (yes I would go with the Type-S if I had to do it again, but it wasn't feasible at time of purchase). Old post : Spoiler: ADDED 10/13/11 So many of you all may or may not have known... that I was in the process of boosting my base auto 2005 RSX. Well after a solid week of work and 2 weeks at bluegrass muffler, its finally finished. All with the exception of the tune, is completely done. I have a tune to where I can have fun with it, but its not up to its full potential just yet. We were on a deadline to get the car done, and we reached it by 5 hours. Anywho... onto the goodies ![]() Kpro Greddy T517z turbo kit Greddy front mount HKS SSQV3 Blow off New aluminum oil pan with oil return already welded transmission cooler AEM Wideband AEM boost gauge So we started the night of the 12th, got the front end off the car and the oil drained. ![]() Got the oil pan off and replaced the stock on with the new aluminum one ![]() ![]() We then took the time that the sub frame was laying on the ground next to the car, to go ahead and mount the turbo manifold/turbo housing to the block. ![]() ![]() Ran the oil lines, mounted the downpipe, and it hit absolutely everything (it was pre-modified to have a 3 inch exhaust from downpipe back, done by previous owner) along with it coming up about a foot short of my HKS hi power exhaust. We had to do something about that... ![]() Ran the intercooler piping and mounted the front mount intercooler, and ran into some issues there as well, it was meant to fit for the type-s and not a base auto, so the pipe that went from the intercooler to the TB didnt exactly line up right, so we had bluegrass fix that for me as well. so we loaded her up and took her to bluegrass muffler, who was going to fix my intercooler piping issue as well as the exhaust side issue. ![]() fixed my downpipe. ![]() They also fixed my intercooler piping (shiny pipe) ![]() From here we mounted everything up. Worked on making the front bumper fit. (had to take out the fog lights, I was sad to see them go) ![]() Wired in the gauges ![]() and called it a day. ![]() ![]() Updated pictures : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bonus photo of the DD
