Rate Your Exhaust - READ THIS POST

PLEASE - ONLY RATE THE EXHAUST IF YOU HAVE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WITH IT. Please help keep this thread the "go to" place for the important exhaust information and post questions elsewhere.

Fit 1 to 5: How well does it fit the car without cutting, making new hangers, etc. 1=fit like hell, all the way to, 5=fit tighter than stock without rattle.

Power 1 to 5: 1=less power than stock, 2=about the same as stock, 3=some gains, 4=very noticeable, 5=Feels like its been boosted

Loudness 1 to 5: Volume 1= Quieter than stock to 5= Loud, wakes the neighbors when you get on it.

After the name is the material: SS= Stainless Steel, PS= Stainless can only, AS= Aluminized Steel and then the pipe/tip diameter. The last number (X is the number of reviews so far

can i rate an exhaust thats not on your list?...

JIC magic Ti exhaust.

Fit: 4
Power: 4
Loud: 5

This is just the JIC magic titanium muffler (Full Ti) with custom underaxle 2.5" SS piping and HF CAT.

Revs so much faster. mid-to-high end gain.

cheers

this is for DC5R AUSDM.

BuddyClub Spec 3

Fit: 5
Power:4
Loud: 5

another loud exhaust...nice gain from mid-to-high end...lightweight cat back system impeccable welding and quality. Comes with silencer for daily driving. Nice deep tone up until VTEC.
Revs noticeable become faster and nice linear power from mid-to-high.

Borla

Fit 1 to 5: 4 (flanges that bolt to the cat needed to be dremmeled out a bit)

Power 1 to 5: 3 (installed months ago and I really cannot remember how it felt initially. I'm used to it now and I've never had it dynoed)

Loudness 1 to 5: 3 Deep tone. Basically just sounds like a "tuned" exhaust. Very classy.

5Zigen Fireball

Fit 1 to 5: 5

Power 1 to 5: 3, all exhausts for the RSX are within 2 hp of one another unless you go FI. Just my opinion.

Loudness 1 to 5: 2, I have not heard the wold sport, but this is by far the quietest exhaust i have heard so far. I had comptech amd sold it. It was 10 time louder than the 5 zigen.

Fit: 4 ( because the springs have a tendency to rattle)
Power: 5 ( this exhaust and ES mounts knocked 6 tenths off my 1/4)
Loudness: 5 ( this exhaust is a beast when you get on it, turns many heads)

Fujitsubo Power Getter:

Fit: 4.5 (would be a 5 if you have a JDM type-r rear lip as it's a DC5R application)

Power: 4.5 (8 whp according to buddha)

loudness: 2 (amazingly close to stock, nice and quiet and bassy)

SOUND: 10 (don't argue with most of the ppl on clubrsx with this one)

another is that it could be hitting the rear swaybar. Just do some minor adjustments and problem solved.

Fujitsubo Power Getter... sounds like the best!

Where in hell is this thing sold!? First time I can't find anything on google. And oddly enough there's more comments here on this elusive exhaust then there is on the Magnaflow which has been sold to how many people on this forum!?

Apex'i GT Spec

Fit 1 to 5: {{5}} It was a very easy install for a prototype..

Power 1 to 5: {{4}} Its responsive and very smooth throughout
the power band

Loudness 1 to 5: {{4}} Its a good loud not an annoying one at
all. Looks sorta like a Greddy Evo. Its
well over 89db as well.... cop gave me a
ticket... he busted out with a meter. but
the everso pop that occurs sounds cool,
but is annoying.

Its stainless steel with a 4 inch tip.

Lets let this thing run for a few months, the more ratings we have the more accurate it will be (the scientific method). Perhaps we will do a group buy on the best one or two models later in the summer. For now we just NEED MORE DATA, keep'um coming I have a spreadsheet to make it easy to transfer the numbers and I don't mind the work.

One more thing. As soon as we get more of the un-rated exhaust systems rated, I will add a number next to the exhaust name that will show the number of reviews for each model.
