CEL paper-clip method. how to?
hey guys i tried searching but didn't have much luck.
i'v been getting a CEL recently and after resetting, it would come back a couple days later. just wondering which ports/connection to bridge using the paperclip method? ![]()

correct me if im wrong, im not sure if there is a method with the paperclip. have you taken it to get the codes pulled?

P1163 11-94 11-88 Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Slow Response 61 P1164 11-95 11-88 Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Range/Performance Problem this is what i came up with... could this have something to do with it being winter and in winnipeg? will this affect my performance/safety of my motor at all? so... ...reset and see if it comes again ...or wait till spring ...or replace. what do you guys think??

bump... the cel stopped coming on after that, but a couple days ago i replaced my exhaust and after driving for a while it came on, same code.
is there a way i can tell if the primary o2 sensor is toast or not?
