How important is this stud?

The top broke off and I cant get a nut on there anymore Do I need to replace it or is it just to hold that little plastic cover on?

That one just holds the coil pack in place. I would try to get it out of you can but its not critical at the moment.

I broke both of those a while ago.. I have new ones sittin in my room but I haven't changed 'em yet. No problems.. so far.

the bottom part holds in the coil and that looks okay, the top is just to hold down the cover.

i did the same thing, i break lots of studs cause i tighten things with my gorilla strength... i should probably invest in a torque wrench

it's just for looks. u can basically go w/out it. same with anything on the exterior of your car. u can basically run on the chassis itself.
