doin fogs this second need help
need a quicker answer about fog lights, i'm in the midst of instaling mine right now, using an oem switch harness. Steps 58 through 60 in specific. Tell me If i have it right. I disconnect the twelve pin connector on the vehicle harness. I then connect the male 12 pin connector of my switch harnes to the female 12 pin connector of the vehicle harness, and then the male connector of my vehicle harness to the female connector on my switch harness. Also wondering, the under the hood harness i sort of had to make myself, so assuming it was faulty, would the green light on the fog switch still come on?
thanks Last edited by BLACK04DC5; 03-04-2010 at 02:31 PM. |

do you know which connector on the harness would control the green light because its not coming on so i have reason to believe my fog problem is due to the switch harness. the red does come on with the dashboard so i know that the switch is indeed connected, and it tells me i did somthing right, sorry for the dumb questions just rele stumped.

its an oem switch harness, and the under the hood harness i made myself pretty much. The red light that illuminates the fog symbol works, but not the green bar above the symbol, similar to the one on the cruise control button. Does anyone know which connector on the harness would affect the green light, just trying to trouble shoot cause clearly the switch harness isn't hooked up right if the green light doesnt come on when I press it.

i ended up getting pissed off and just wiring it to my parking lights with a relay. It tells me that my under the hood harness is good, and I was doing something wrong with my Dashboard harness. I might just sell the harness and switch. the fogs work perfect right now, and part of me says, don't fix what isn't broken, but at the same time i'd like to have it wired as if it was oem. thanks for the help neway
