Custom Fitting Spoon S-Tai Rear Diffuser on a Non-S2K Vehicle

Hi all,

I have a Spoon S-Tai rear diffuser that I wanted custom fitted on a Civic.

I suspect some custom work will need to be done to properly mount the diffuser on the Civic.

Does anyone have any personal experience with such process, and can recommend a good shop that will do a good job?

Thanks!

Jo

Hey Victor! As far as I can tell - the Spoon S-Tai rear diffuser is only designed for S2000s, though there are DC2s and EKs with the diffuser custom fitted.

hey buddy, but really now, is it worth the trouble? I will put in my 2 cents because I spent over 3 months trying to look for a good place to do custom fibreglassing work just because I needed a bumper fitted. In the end, if you are doing it for uniqueness... fine. If you are just doing it because you have a good deal, you will quickly realize in the end with the custom work done it doesn't make sense. Its expensive. Moreover, NONE of the shops I talked to does any sort of custom CF work.

However, Velocity did a good job on my front bumper fitting it exactly. But it will cost you if you are doing any custom shit.

good luck getting it to fit and look good/functional

that diffuser is designed to work on the s2k and would be too wide big for any other car

nope, its exact width for rsx as well
for SI it might be actually a little small cos SI has a huge butt haha

joseph, if you have the original hardware then it should be simple install
the only thing u have to worry about is if it rubs on your exhaust if it doesnt then there's not big issue unless some other part of your body frame hits it as well

just bring it to any bodyshop with hardware and they could install it for you

(referance picture to a EK9 with the spoon s2k diffsuer at Type One)

Custom work is required to have the Spoon S2K diffuser to fit on a EK9 along with custom brackets

The only thing I could suggest is to mock the spoon diffuser and trim whats needed to be fitted.

From what i recall you would need to trim around 30-40% of the diffsuer to fit on the EK9

Hope this helps
