Getting new car soon, help decide!
Top options for now not in order
1. rsX -s 2. 350z 3. s2000 Currently I have a 2005 rsx and I can sell it publicly and get into one of these cars for not much more than what i sell my car for since my dad has dealer license. If you have other suggestions for around this price level, post it up with reasons. ** Exception: Can not buy stock turbo car. Would love Evo if i could ** Thanks for the help |

My dad has a problem with stock turbo cars.. thinks people abuse the engines and im sure most people do by increasing the boost. I would want an EVO but its not going to happen
![]() Insurance isn't a big issue. As far as why would i get same car? idk i could get into type s for prob a push between selling my car and buying the s. might have to throw down some cash for the 350/s2000 I have heard s2k are very uncomfortable to drive. I also do not like convertibles too much so i would prob get the hard top. Its mostly between s2k and 350z. |

If you live somewhere with no snow get the S2000.
350Z's can't touch an S2000 IMO, but I haven't owned either car. |

Since you have an RSX already, get a 350Z or S2000. Both cars have it's pros and cons.
The 350Z has more usable torque, so it makes it easy to merge with traffic without revving to the moon like the S2000. In a straight line, the S2000 is slower than the 07-08 350Z HR model, but about even with the DE's (03-05) and Rev-Ups (06). For handling, the S2000 has the advantage due to the weight and double wishbones. In short, get the Z if you want low-mid range torque with a comfortable ride. Get the S2000 if you favor handling over straight line speed. I was in the same boat as you, and ended up with the Z because I wanted something with torque and a comfortable ride. |

07-08 350Z > 03-06 350Z > S2000 The 03-06 350Zs are all the same speed...while the rev ups got a tad more HP they lost some torque and gained weight. 03-06 350Zs are high 13 second cars trapping around 99-102MPH on a good run. 07-08 350Zs are mid 13 second cars trapping around 102-105MPH on a good run. S2000s are low 14/high 13 second cars trapping around 97-101MPH on a good run. |

Sometimes I regret getting an 08 350Z and should have gotten an 09 370Z instead. |

2005 350z - 10k
2003 s2000 - 14k I just checked the prices on 370's. When I was looking at them last year, the dealer wanted low $40k's for them. I just found 2, low mileage, 370's for less than 30k (100 miles from my location). The same goes for Evo X's. Dealer wouldn't budge from the low $40k's. Now they're breaking high 20k's. That's a lot of depreciation in less than a year.

AP1 do not go for that high at all. 2005 AP2 is in the 13 - 14k price range. AP1's are going for way less than 10 grand now. I bought mine for 8 grand clean title and my brother for 7500 salvaged title. I have seen a ton for them going for 6 grand to 9 grand.
I rode in a nismo 350 at my local road racing track and the only noticeable difference is the power in 350 on the back straight compared to the S. To sum it up, the S handles corners way better but lacks the power of the 350. The S is also much harder to drive and trickier to push to the limits but well worth it in my opinion. So if you are DD and not much track time, the 350. Much more comfortable. If you road race or autox a ton, I would go with the S2K. I went with the S2000 because I intend to make this my track car in the future. I test drove a 350z, rx-8 and s2000 before making my decision. It is the only one that gives you the go kart feeling when driving. |

thanks for the information. It seems like 350z is more of what im leaning towards since it is definitely a daily drive with some track time |

HR > anything else in your price range.
simple as that. fuck an evo (looses its balls at top end), fuck an s2k (great roadster just constantly slow unless you FI & gears & jdmshit & $$$$), fuck a type-S (it's 2010, move on) H fucking R. the satisfaction of flooring it in 1st and being pinned to the back of your seat is so much more enjoyable then being in a bunch of miata and s2k owners talking about how they can turn a little better. yeah you might have an advantage if this were gymkhana, but until then all you're going to see is taillights on the highway.
