even on a stock motor with 103k on it? i mean, i see in a lot of build threads that people are running a 30r on a stock motor for extended periods of time but idk..
because i am planning on building a motor after i turbo the stock motor, and throwing a bigger turbo on at the point.
If your worried bout that, just dont throw as much boost at it. Do a compression test and see where the motor is at. People run 35r's all day on a stock motor maybe not with as many miles but hey a healthy motor is a healthy motor. I dont see a 30r over a 28 being the reason your motor blows.
I will be doing my fair share of research on the EFR setup's once a few more threads pop up with some numbers and feedback on the kits. They look super legit, and I am weighing my options at this point.
The EFR kits look amazing, but I do LOVE my GT3076R. They have been referred to as the perfect K series turbo... I agree. They spool so fast on these engines there's no appreciable lag and still make an assload of power. They sound bad as hell too. Highly recommended.

car is back on the road after a month of one after another thing going wrong. replace battery, alternator, clutch, and also finally fixed the 3 short problems i was having. im saving the moolah right now for the wire tuck, and engine bay right now, then on to the FR build. my projection for starting the teardown of the bay is about 3 or 4 months, and for the boost, maybe 6 or 7 months. :x: :x:
Easiest way and cheapest way to do a wire tuck is grab a wire harness from honda-tech or a junkyard from any honda and use those wires. Prolly spent like 30 bucks at most for my wire tuck project and its located on my passenger floorboard with plenty of slack to go in the glove box or in the mid console area.
i was thinking about buying the OEM engine harness, and fusebox/headlight harness used and doing my own harnesses... the only thing about that is, wiring is mot my forte.
if i dont do that, i will probably end up picking up a milspec harness from ChaseBays with firewall connector.
