Just realized the system requirements are really low, looks like pretty much any "decent" laptop can run it.

I believe that is what they are going for. More people using it and the ability to stream what you are doing on a Windows Tablet right onto your computer and vice versa. Think they are going for simple this time around.

once it downloaded it gave me the option to "install on a different Partition"

I haven't done it yet, but will this afternoon. I don't have enough GB's on my machine right now. need to clean it up.

It was right after I used the GUI to download the install files. Did you use the GUI or ISO?

I still haven't done it. Trying to shrink my volume. Shows I have 121gb free, but only allowing me to shrink a 1gb volume haha. Need to defrag.

When I click install windows, I say install now,
I accept the terms,
I chose keep nothing,
Then it says "To install Windows 8 you need 16gb of free space..."

Doesn't let me choose a partition

I'm going to start downloading the ISO.

I ended up just using the .ISO as well. Didn't even see it in that link this morning. was so impatient.

So far so good, I got all of my drivers installed, all of my programs installed and working, has some features I like and don't like. Smooth running OS so far though. Dual monitors = Windows toolbar all the way across, finally
