so you want to be financially irresponsible at the expense of going just a bit faster?

You have the rest of your life to own a plethora of cars. The RSX or STI won't be your last. Think about it that way..

If you want to save money and go seriously faster then get a bike like me.

1. You'll be faster.
2. You'll be more financially set.

Meh, I don't think there's that much of a maintenance cost difference really. At 35k, I am assuming he's buying a new one... so a brand new Subaru vs an X year old Acura. They both take premium gas, they both take synthetic fluids, but a new STI won't require anything for a while aside from that. Once you start needing brake pads and tires and stuff, they'll cost more for the Subaru by not a whole lot. Pads will run you probably ~$100 more for the fronts and the tires, well the sky is the limit on both cars. FWIW, since my RSXS and Evo are considered secondary vehicals, in surance on them is basically the same. Couldn't tell you off the top of my head, but they're within $20 or so/ year.

Anyway, just playing devil's advocate because I own an RSXS and an Evo. If you think you can afford it, you probably can't.

Word. If you can't figure out for yourself.. if you have to ask us on a forum.. If you even have to think about it.. You can't or shouldn't do it.

That's right. You live in NY.

I retract my statement about a bike. Don't get a bike because, yes, a car has more practicality, e.g., protection from weather, ability to carry more cargo. And in your case, you can't afford having both a bike and car.

I assume you're pretty young. You shouldn't even drive a "higher end" car like an RSX or STI; get something less expensive. Get a better job (or save more money) then start buying your automotive toys in the future. As I said, you have your whole life to get the cars/bikes you want.

If there was an underwear forum somewhere on the internet(which i'm sure there is) this would be equivalent to asking whats better boxers or briefs? I don't know figure it out whichever is better for you, instead of asking a forum whats better to hold your balls with. You're an adult(i'd hope) make adult decisions.

its up to you.. if you're filthy rich or you've enuough, then i'd say go for it.... if you cannot afford monthly payments, its not a right decision.

Lol... you're acting like if a full bolt on Type S + KPro is like driving a Fit. Thats a pretty decent amount of power there.

If you really want something faster, but at the same time be financially stable, BUILD the DC5 more.
