JDM K24a

So I recently swapped in a K24a 197hp motor.I went to the track last week hoping to hit high 13s low 14s, let’s say I left a little disappointed. Seems my 4th gear is too short with my rev limit at 7500

Ran 14.6 @97

Mods: Ktuner base map(modified)
Decapped stock injectors
Hot air intake
Rh
2.5 Cat back
Function form type 1 coil overs
17x9.5 esr sr02 22.5LB PER WHEEL OUCH!!
Federal SS595 235/45/17 @40 psi all around
Full interior Spare tire and Sub
Type R wing
Full tank of gas(I know not a mod)

I will be going back next week making these changes

CAI to fog light
20psi tire pressure
Wing removed
Rear seats/ sub/ and tire removed
Rev limit raised to 7800
Less than 1/4 tank of gas

Think that will take me down to low 14s?
I’m also thinking about getting new lighter wheels

Get the CAI, and get tuned. An RBC manifold will help your top end. Those wheels aren't much heavier than stock, but having tire pressure that low will make you slower. If you're not hooking up, try stiffer motor mounts or a torque damper. If it's still a problem, then remove a few pounds, but I wouldn't go any lower than the OEM recommendation. The increased rev limiter will help with putting you higher in the rpm range after shifting, but I don't see it making much of a difference unless that motor is still making power up to the rev limiter.
