yeah and if I get it I either fly to texas(I don't fly) or I get it shipped to my door and pray my tall ass fits...I'm not that worried about the car itself. His feedback is extremely good except for one idiot who complained about damage after the car was unloaded...800 something others were very happy it looks like

even if I do fly there I pretty much have to take it at that point..lol

ebay/carloan.com is doing 2.9% for 60 months

Why don't you fly?

Why don't you go to some random local dealer, act like you're interested, just to see if you fit?

Have you driven one, too? I know people love this car, but everyone has their own standard of what is good.

Sounds like an impulse buy. You literally went on the S2K boat in a few days.

nah I've been wanting an S2000 forever(really an NSX but that is tougher to do)

I have sat in them, my knee hits the steering wheel, I think otherwise I'm ok.

don't fly because I hate flying

I guess what's changed is that I paid off the civic and I wish I had paid off something else...lol

Ahh, gotcha. Could you spiritedly drive the car if your knee hits the wheel?

Well, I'd take an S2K over a civic, any day.

yeah, I mean I did the RWD in winter thing before..although the G35 had traction control and VSC I think. It kept the tail in check very well and it was a lunatic with the traction control off. That was with 245/45 blizzack lm-25s that my bro took off his GTO though..id probably get narrower, newer snows for an s2k

I was saddened to find out that s2ks have 2 different hub bores so my 2 sets of 5x114.3 honda wheels won't fit ftl

Does traction control and VSC really help that much? I never have driven a car that had it.

Yeah, I remember reading that. It's the same reason that RSX's can use S2K wheels, but they have to be two pairs of the front wheels.

it just kind of stops any sort of tomfoolery and makes your car go around a corner. It can not, however, make a RWD car climb a steep, snowy driveway (better snow tires may have)

works pretty nicely on the WRX too, just not for doing anything fun..lol

I may just throw some all seasons on it for the cold weather and just not take it out in snow...just figure out how to get by with the WRX. I don't want to muck it up anyway.

So if the rear wheels are breaking lose, in a RWD, it will reduce the applied torque?

yeah and it brakes for you...pretty gay but effective...not gonna help u if u are going way too fast in snow though. IDK I tend to be a really cautious snow driver anyway, I'm sure I can handle 151lb ft@7500rpms..lol

Gotcha. Well, it seems like win with the S2K, but that was obvious.

Haha. I meant that getting an S2K is win, not necessarily how it spins.

I remember when your RSX had some problem with the suspension and there was some clunking noise. You mentioned you were considering trading yours in for another RSX, just to get rid of the problem or something along those lines.

08 will be a AP2. Theres quite a bit of difference between AP1 and 2... Like bigger motor (2.2 vs 2.0), lower redline, traction control, lower gearing, better stereo, standard glass window, interior is different, bumpers, wheels, headlights/tail lights, also i believe the suspension is different. Some stuff to consider when making a decision

Got mine for 13k. If you find one that has low miles and was taken care of then go for it. I got lucky since mine had a lot of AP2 parts on it like a new soft top and wheels. If you're looking to keep your price range low you're really limited to the AP1 years 00-03. And remember take your time and always get it inspected if it's private party! If you can try and find a good one where the owner is in a situation where they have to sell it then you can probably get if for a good price.
