Good morning gents

Do you guys track your s/c'ed RSX (e.g., autox, drag, etc.)? Going to try and get in a couple of events here and there. I need to get my beater running again though in case the something happens lol.

I've only done auto x, but interested to see how I'll do on the 1/4 mile...

I run the 1/4 every now and then, been wanting to try out autox. Used to go on mountain runs every now and then also. Now that I've got w/m to keep the iat in check I may venture back to the mountains, and will feel safe with autox. I've got a stock 92 Civic hatch for backup if something goes wrong.

Seems right. I had a similar setup and made 263/183 with 9psi.

Nice! Heard wm is not allowed for autox and the only reason I've held out on it. Mountain runs sound badass.

Only if they know about it haha. But for real I have heard the same but am unsure of the rules regarding it.

I'm sure it's like class rules, but for noob runs no one checks your car lol and you gotta do 2 or 3 events before you can enter a class

Yea, I have a couple of coworkers that are hard core in it. To get around is too just run water or windshield washer fluid at the event

True and agree. Only caution would be during tech inspection they may ask if you have the tank in the trunk. Other than that, no issues until you get more into the classes

Anyone have any ideas of the power gains from switching to an OEM (8th gen si) to a j37 TB? I have a merc inlet right now with the stock TB and have a J37 TB waiting to go on. However i've been having the rev (1000-1700) issue while at idle and holing in the clutch.

Figured out what happen to my belt... My two lower alternator bolts were either not reinstalled by the shop who replaced my clutch and CMC or they backed out completely because they weren't tightened properly.

Picking up new bolts tomorrow, hopefully that's all this was and it isn't something I'm overlooking.

I'd get the rev fixed first. Vac leak maybe? Did the idle issues start when you added the merc inlet? I read that the j37 tb can be bored to 70-72mm, so you'll pick up a few HP/tq after a proper tune. At first I was like why are you installing an Infiniti tb onto an RSX, then I remembered j series motors

I'm just glad it doesn't appear I need a new alternator or spacer brackets because they are intact and the alternator doesn't appear to be damaged. True test is properly fastening it tonight with some blue locktite.

I initially installed them both together and and had the issue. checked night and day for a vac leak and found none. Then put the stock TB on with the merc inlet and have zero issues. I was using the J37 p2r gasket and was told by p2r that no other gaskets are needed. I even tried an OEM j37 gasket and the same issue which leads me to believe its not a vac leak.

So merc inlet + stock tb was fine then? You put the j37 tb on and idle issues pop up. I don't have any experience with p2r andj37 tbs but there's something off there

Good AM

To many projects, not enough time. Heading to ATL tomorrow to visit family and try to get my tow hitch installed on the Mrs MDX with my pops while I'm up there. Then, I need to my beater running again with new alternator, battery, valve cover gasket to fix leak on header, and new rotors and brake pads all around.

Once those are done, need new rotors and pads for the RSX and tires. Once that is done, figure out installing k24 CP and still debating EPS Damn cars cost a mini fortune

Basically it's this

http://afhkparts.com/shop/kswap-hond...stall-package/

but without the second p2r gasket and adapter plate (rather the merc racing one).

P2r says the gasket is self sealing and no other gaskets are needed so I do not think it's a vac leak.

Do I need to calibrate the TB with the adjustment screw?
